NEWS QUOTE: Senator Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) says Congress has the authority to mandate that people buy health insurance and that there is no constitutional limit on Congress’ power to enact such mandates. “Well, I would assume it would be in the Commerce clause of the Constitution. That’s how Congress legislates all kinds of various programs,”

First they pass an outrageous healthcare bill that the majority of Americans have clearly stated that they don't want...and then they tell us that we have to start paying for it now, but won't be able to benefit from it until 2014...then on top of that they MANDATE that we will HAVE TO PAY for an individual health insurance policy, or face stiff penalties! WUWD(what up wit dat)?

The Commerce clause is found in Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. It states the numerous powers authorized to Congress, including the power “To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among several States, and with the Indian tribes.”

Now how in holy hell can that be interpreted as to give Congress the right to mandate Americans to buy something they don't want? Do they regard us as one of the stupid underclass Indian Tribes that must be regulated by their upperclass intelligencia?

If they can get away with this, is there a limit to their authority? Or is there anything that can’t be mandated through their liberal interpretations of the Constitution?

T'was the day before Christmas,
and all through the House (The Senate, actually)
the Dumbassocrats were stirring
to pass the outrageous Healthcare Plan
that was "pushed through" in secrecy,
with phony cost projections from the CBO,
so that they could fool us into believing
that this won't cut medicare benefits,
bankrupt the country...and lead us,and our kids,
into generations of servitude to government and unions.
All this while the stockings were being hung with great care.

But, despite these criticisms, the Liar-in-Chief,
Obama...or "The Messiah," as he would like to be known,
says he will sign this bill -- once reconciled by the House,
which is controlled also by Dumbassocrats,
while inwardly chuckling to himself about
the Audacity of Dopes.

Then up away, up away, up away all--
the Senators home to face the anger
of their constituency, and
BO to Hawaii to bask in the glow
of how his program of radical socialism
will destroy the foundations of America.
Aaaah, he thinks, "the Hope & Change gimmick sure worked
with enough simpletons to get me voted in."
And now with healthcare assured, I can relax and plan
on how to further destroy America over the next 3 years.

On Dasher, on Dancer, on Air Force One...
get me away from here so I don't have to answer
all those questions from Rush, Beck, Sean, and O'Reilly et. al.
on how future generations will pay for this healthcare fiasco.
But before I leave...one more gift for all my supporters.

while their other top execs got at least $2 million.
But even though my friends in government
are doing quite well this year,
despite the rest of the country suffering through this recession

In 1755, Benjamin Franklin wrote: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

While many stand idly by watching in wonder, like awed children, as each link in our "servitude to government" chain is being forged not realizing that each planned link is being joined together to manufacture the shackles keeping our nation prisoners without heritage, attempting forever to hobble our mobility, strength, and passions. Interesting Amazon comments on Algore's stupid new book: OUR CHOICE

--Just look at the cover. One of the hurricanes is spinning in the wrong direction. Also, Cuba is under water. If this ever happened, then Denver would be under water too! I guess Gore didn't know that Cuba has mountains.

--Let's see...did Gore fail to convince adults of his "science" so he now has to target impressionable children? The Global Warming crowd can't even get the cover of the book right. The 'hurricane' in the Atlantic is rotating the wrong way.

--I read through this book at the store and could not believe that this man can live with himself. Beyond trying to indoctrinate children by aiming propoganda at "young readers", the reality is that so much of what is in this book is simply factually wrong. Please do not get this for your children. If you are interested in doing things to help the earth, there are a number truly great books to help you plant a garden, recycle, etc. that you can purchase.

Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976. The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers' Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers' Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail? Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers. Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people. Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation. When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become "adverse parties" of our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit. We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big. When lawyers use criminal prosecution as a continuation of politics by other means, as happened in the lynching of Scooter Libby and Tom Delay, then the power of lawyers in America is too great. When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers' Party to provide real change, real reform or real hope in America Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789. Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders. Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world's population and 66% of the world's lawyers! Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as "spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you" and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

Are you really aware of just how much politicians - and I'm talking politicians from both parties - have trashed the future of your children and grandchildren? Are you sitting out there just blissfully thinking that since this country has been here all of your life, in generally the same shape it is right now, that it will always be here in something resembling its present form for your children and grandchildren? Have you ever heard that all good things come to end? Well then, what makes you so sure that this saying doesn't apply to this country? Do you think we're somehow bulletproof? Has it occurred to you that the citizens of the Soviet Union might well have thought the same thing?

Over the weekend I picked up a copy of Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto." Levin's book truly is just what is purports to be: "A Conservative Manifesto." It's brilliant. If I could write like that I might take a stab at another book ... but I can't. Leave the brilliance to Levin.

Here ... let me show you something from Levin's book. This comes from Chapter 7 "On the Welfare State." Levin was writing about the costs of entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. All of these programs are piling financial obligations on future generations of Americans (that would be your descendants) that they simply will not be able to pay for. Read this paragraph:

"In 2008, David Walker, then the comptroller general of the United States, reported that the total burden in present value dollars of these and other entitlement programs, including the federal government's liabilities, commitments and contingencies, is about $53 trillion. He added, 'Imagine we decide to put aside and invest today enough to cover these promises tomorrow. It would take approximately $455,000 per American household - or $175,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States."

Did that catch your attention? Right now there is NO MONEY, not one single cent, set aside to pay for these entitlements. We are paying for all of them as we go .. and at the same time we have to pay for the normal costs of operation of our federal government. You know, pesky little things like courts, transportation infrastructure, law enforcement and a bit set aside for national defense. That figure you see above "per American household?" That assumes the average household size of 2.6 people. If you're household is larger than your share of this burden increases. Husband, wife and two children? Try $700,000.

So ... what's the big deal? Well maybe you can tell ME just how we're going to meet this obligation. Frankly, I don't see how we can do it. Besides ... in case you haven't been paying attention, the Democrats just got through working through an entire weekend trying to add yet another entitlement program to the mix ... and this one, your entitlement to healthcare, will make Medicare and Medicaid look like a friendly game of checkers.

Do you really think the Looters are being honest with you about how much this is all going to cost? Come on, you have to be kidding me. Here's just one little trick they're pulling that I'm betting they've completely slipped by you. They're going to start collecting taxes, penalties and fees for ObamaCare as soon as they get the bill passed. BUT ... They're not going to start to provide benefits under the bill for three or four years. So the Looters are giving us a figure for what ObamaCare will cost during the next ten years ... without really explaining that spending on benefits will only take place for six or seven of those years. Can you just imagine what the second ten years will be like?

Let me try to give you an analogy here. You're buying a new home. The builder tells you that for a certain annual payment he will give you a 100% warranty on the home. He tells you that it will only cost you $1000 per year, or $10,000 for the first ten years. What he doesn't tell you is that you start paying your $1000 per year immediately - with the first $1000 collected at closing --- but he's going to wait for four years before he'll fix anything. You're getting eight months of coverage for one year's payments. That's exactly what the Democrats are doing to you with the so-called health "reform" bill they've been dealing with all weekend. You didn't really know that, did you? Surely you don't think the ObamaMedia was going to explain that to you.

Let's cap this rant off with this:

In spite of the numbers I've outline above, it won't matter a bit to a huge percentage of Americans. As I've said before, we have three basic classes of people in our society. There are the producers that create the wealth. Then there are the moochers that seek to consume the wealth created by the producers; and finally we have the looters who seize the wealth from the producers to transfer to the moochers in exchange for votes ... which is the same thing as saying\ in exchange for power.

There are tens of millions of Americans out there right now who do not give a flying fornication what sort of debt we're piling up for future generations of American to pay. They're not going to be around to help pay that debt off, so it means nothing to them. What they do so earnestly care about is their free ride. They can't give you one good logical reason why anyone other than themselves should be responsible for their health care, but as long as the Democrats are willing to relieve them of that burdensome responsibility, they're more than willing to go along. Too many of these people it's just more money for iPhones and PlayStations.

This country is being killed by the moochers and the looters who pander to them.

TURKEY OF THE YEAR AWARD: Aside from BO himself, my choice this year goes to Recovery.gov, the Obama website (that cost taxpayers $12 million to create. I'll bet some high school kids could have done it for less) that makes mountains out of molehills and turkeys out of sparrows.

According to Michelle Malkin's website, the Washington Examiner reports that more than 10 percent of the jobs the Obama administration claimed were "created or saved" by the stimulus are doubtful or imaginary. ABC News uncovered countless examples of bogus congressional districts listed as stimulus beneficiaries by the Obama stimulus tracking website, Recovery.gov. The money has been lavished on shady beauty schools in New Hampshire, prison inmates in Texas and wind companies in Spain and China. Just this week, a California audit found that the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation overstated the number of jobs saved by federal stimulus dollars by upward of 13,000.

While this Generational Theft Act (I love this term to describe this atrocity) continues to soak up our tax dollars and add to our children's and grandchildren's debt, the Democratic majority is in the government kitchen cooking up a second stimulus turkey to provide federal infrastructure money to public-sector unions. Gobble, gobble.

Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana was essentially BRIBED for her Harry Reid health care vote with $100 MILLION (now $300 MILLION)! She declared herself "undecided" until she got the money...which will come from the democrat's "slush fund" originally known as The Stimulus Plan. In essence, we taxpayers, are paying for the democrats to bribe senators for their votes! This entire group is totally corrupt and should be impeached.



If this isn't the best argument for "Term Limits" then I don't know what is.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, Psalms 109:8 says, 'Let his days be few; and let another take his office.' The citation is being passed around the Internet as a rallying cry against Obama.

I'd say that pretty much sums up the attitude of the country for this sorry excuse for a leader!

Statement on Muslims (and Islam)

Since we hear from so many critics who either don't take the time to read this site, or simply can't understand the distinction between Islam and Muslims, we thought it best to bring together in one place what we have said in so many others over the years.

Islam is an ideology. No ideology is above critique, particularly one that explicitly seeks political and social dominance over every person on the planet.

Muslims are individuals. We passionately believe that no Muslim should be harmed, harassed, stereotyped or treated any differently anywhere in the world solely on account of their status as a Muslim.

Islam is not simply a belief about God. It is a word that means Submission. Islam is a set of rules that establish a social hierarchy in which Muslims submit to Allah, women submit to men and all non-Muslims submit to Islamic rule.

Since we don't live in a Muslim country (where censorship, intimidation and brute force are shamelessly employed to protect Islam from logical deconstruction), we are still free to openly exercise our right to debate the merits of the Islamic value system against Western Liberalism.

Are men really superior to women as the Qur'an says? Are women intellectually inferior as Muhammad taught? Does propagating material (the Qur'an) that openly curses people of other religions amidst random calls to violence really make for a better social environment? Is it right to keep women as sex slaves merely because the Qur'an explicitly allows it in multiple places? Should atheists and homosexuals have to choose between the noose and an outward profession of faith in Allah?

Yes, there are Muslims who take issue with these aspects of Islamic theology, but it doesn't change what Islam is. Don't confuse the ideology with the individual. Don't draw conclusions about Islam based on the Muslims that you know, be they terrorists or humanitarians. Islam must be understood on the basis of what it is, as presented objectively in the Qur'an, Hadith and Sira (biography of Muhammad).

By the same token, don't draw conclusions about the Muslims in your life based on the true nature of Islam. Like any other group, not all Muslims think alike. Even if there is no such thing as moderate Islam, it does not mean that there are no moderate Muslims.

If our years of dialogue with literally hundreds have taught us anything, it is that most Muslims (even devout ones) have only a superficial understanding of their religion. Most never made the choice to be Muslim, so (as with all religion) there are widely varying degrees of seriousness with which they may take the teachings of Islam.

The Muslims that you know are not terrorists. More than likely, their interests in life are similar to yours and they have the same ambitions for their children. They should neither be shunned, mistreated, nor disrespected merely because of their religion. Their property should not be abused, and neither should copies of their sacred book be vandalized.

Prejudging an individual by their group identity (or presumed group identity) is not only unethical, it is blatantly irrational, since group identity reveals absolutely nothing about a person. Every individual should be judged only on the basis of their own words and deeds.

Don't judge Islam by the Muslims that you know, and don't judge the Muslims that you know by Islam

Directing Eric Holder to have a federal trial in New York city for the 9/11 terrorists not only dignifies their horrific acts of murder against 3,000 innocent Americans, but also shows the deranged Islamic world what a bunch of wimps this administration truly is...and that THEY are protected by OUR constitutional rights. WTF!

Mass merciless Muslim killers like confessed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed should be put before a firing squad, not given a stage to discuss their ideology, and inspire future Muslim terrorists. Furthermore, it will tend to demoralize our military men who are fighting against this deranged religious philosophy.

The majority of Americans have no idea what motivates these fanatics and how they've been indoctrinated into killing non-believers and dying for Allah.

Beside being enlightened into the world of Islam and the fanatical teachings of their prophet Muhammed, you will see for yourself that Islam is NOT a religion of peace, love and compassion. In fact, over 60% of the Kuran dwells on killing, maiming and dealing with non-believers than with preaching peace, love and compassion. "Some Muslims may say that Muhammad preached love for people of other religions, but there is not a single verse in the Qur'an that commands this. Yet there are 493 verses that either tell Muslims to kill unbelievers or that speak to Allah's hatred for them and how they will be tortured in Hell. Non-Muslims are referred to as the "vilest of animals" in Islam's holiest book."

On top of that, the Kuran encourages pedophilia, and Muhammed himself was a pedophile as evidenced by the following passages:

OBAMA'S DENIAL THAT WE ARE SURROUNDED BY MUSLIM TERRORISTS ENDANGERS ALL OF US

The wanton and indiscriminate shooting of our unarmed and innocent soldiers at Fort Hood by a known Muslim fanatic..a Major in the US Army..clearly indicates that we must be on our guard at all times when it comes to Muslims and that we should not be so eager to welcome them into our society without thoroughly investigating them.

Muslim terrorists are all around us, and they have infiltrated every aspect of our lives. All right, I'll say it: Political correctness be damned, re-establish profiling and investigative procedures as soon as possible.

The Quran contains at least 109 verses that call Muslims to war with nonbelievers. Some are quite graphic, with commands to chop off heads and fingers and kill infidels wherever they may be hiding. Muslims who do not join the fight are called 'hypocrites' and warned that Allah will send them to Hell if they do not join the slaughter.

These verses are mostly open-ended, meaning that the historical context is not embedded within the surrounding text (as are nearly all of the Old Testament verses of violence). They are part of the eternal, unchanging word of Allah, and just as relevant or subjective as anything else in the kuran.

Unfortunately, there are very few verses of tolerance and peace to abrogate or even balance out the many that call for nonbelievers to be fought and subdued until they either accept humiliation, convert to Islam, or are killed. This proclivity toward violence - and Muhammad's own martial legacy - has left a trail of blood and tears across world history.

What Obama, and the politically-correct, Liberal crowd, don't want to admit is
that fundamental Muslims are latent terrorists and an ever-present danger to U.S. citizens. And moreover they are committed to NOT doing anything about it!

To fully understand the total and extreme danger to our country posed by deranged
fundamental Islamists I recommend reading, "The Sword of the Prophet," by Dr. Serge Trifkovic, PhD, a European historian and recognized expert on Islamic affairs. His book illustrates that something is seriously wrong in the Muslim world. For instance: With all their oil wealth, why are there no Muslim countries among the top 30 of the world's richest nations? Why is it that two-thirds of the world's poorest people live in Muslim countries? Why, in the last 20 years, have over 2 million people died in conflicts involving Muslim communities? Why are democracy and the rule of law non-existent in most Muslim states? Why do Muslims carry out so many of the worst acts of terrorism?

In my opinion, the quick answer is that they are still living in the 11th Century, and they accept and affirm their total surrender to Allah and the Kuran. (For proof, read "Infidel" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a 2007 true life best-seller that details the insane and extremely cruel way of life under Islam.)

Muslims must have the best public relations people in all the history of mankind because they seem to have convinced the Western world that Islam is a beautiful, loving and compassionate religion. Obviously, very few people in the Western world (including me) have ever taken the time to read all of it. When the storm finally hits (and it will), those of you who supported the Obama administration will be affected as well. It won’t just be us gun owners or Fair Taxers, or Pro-Lifers that get hit. You’ll be right there next to us..

You see, you all thought the Conservatives were nut cases. You know, all of us who believe in God, small government, the Second Amendment, etc. And you thought you could just go back to sleep after the election was over. In your world, America will continue as before. You’ll still have the same rights, the same nice house, the same big screen television – it’s all good. After all, your high school football team won and the other team lost – go team! Even if you have bothered to look up from the daily grind since Nov 4th, you dismissed everything that has occurred as “politics as usual” – “the same old stuff”.

In the end, it’ll all be OK won’t it?

Not this time. There are a growing number of citizens in the US that are ready to fight to shut down the government’s grab of personal freedom, it’s blatant abuse of the constitution, and it’s attempt to replace the American way of life with socialism. You have to listen carefully to hear them, but they are there. I won’t start that fight, but when it goes down I will join it.

As for you, why . . . you’ll be shocked because you didn’t see it coming. And eventually you’ll be saddened when you see that we have truly lost the way of life with which you grew up. You’ll be saddened that your children and grandchildren live in a socialist, government-controlled gulag where their every movement from cradle to grave is tracked by the government. But most of all, you’ll be saddened by the death of friends and relatives who are brave enough to fight and die for something they believe in.

You know, McCain wasn’t much of a candidate. I’ll give you that. He was the lesser of two evils for most of us. I don’t blame you for not voting for him since, at the time, you didn’t know what we all know now. But at least John McCain was an American. He was a supporter of the American way of life and he understood that you can’t negotiate with terrorists. He understood and appreciated the sacrifice made by my father and other members of the Greatest Generation.

Mark my words friends. All across America groups are forming. They are forming out of anger and out of desperation at the thought of losing America . They’re not militia groups, terrorists as the Department of Homeland security would have you believe; they are Americans, loyal to the constitution. They are mothers and fathers and grandparents. They belong to groups like the Minutemen Civil Defense Corps, the Patriotic Resistance, the Constitution Party, the Young Conservatives, the 9/12 Project, and Grassfire. Right now they are fragmented, each focused on their own cause. But sometime in the next two years, our government is going to do something really stupid and these groups will come together. Watch for it, wait for it…get ready. It will happen.

When that event happens, whatever “it” is, our great country is going to plunge into chaos for a while. I pray to God that we make it through that time and emerge a stronger, smarter country.

MAJOR HASAN IS A TERRORIST AND DOESN'T DESERVE 72 VIRGINS.

Here's my theory: He knew his re-assignment to the war zone could possibly result in his killing another Muslim which is forbidden by the Kuran. So in order to preserve his right to the 72 virgins promised to him in his afterlife if he killed some non-believers, he took the lives of those innocent soldiers, knowing full well he would be killed in return. But unfortunately for him he survived! So I suggest that he be told that one of those men he killed *was* a Muslim. Then he would suffer the mental anguish of knowing that he blew his shot at the virgins, and that the rest of his life would be worthless and miserable. And whenever he dies it would be eternal damnation for him.

Unemployment Rate Skyrockets. Now what, BO?

Nearly 16 million people can't find jobs, the Labor Department said today, pushing the unemployment rate over 10 percent for the first time since 1983.

At a news briefing in the White House Rose Garden, Obama said the sobering national unemployment numbers are regretful, and pledged to work hard to restore the struggling economy. (We'll see how hard you work)

"I promise I won't rest until America is prosperous once again," he said. (No more golf or basketball games for you)

Pelosi Breaks Pledge to Put Final Health Care Bill Online for 72 Hours Before Vote

Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD that the speaker will not allow the final language of the health care to be posted online for 72 hours before bringing the bill to a vote on the House floor, despite her September 24 statement that she was "absolutely" committed to doing so.

House members are still negotiating important issues in the bill--whether it will provide taxpayer-funding for abortions, for example. Pelosi is pushing for a Saturday House vote, and a number of big changes will be introduced, likely less than 24 hours before the vote takes place (if in fact it does). The Rules Committee hasn't yet released its resolution, or rule, that must be passed before the bill can move from committee to the floor. The rule will set the terms of debate and determine what amendments are in order.

It seems likely that the rule will allow very few, if any, up-or-down votes on amendments on the House floor. Rather, the rule will include a series of amendments that will all be adopted at once if the rule passes.

On September 24, Speaker Nancy Pelosi told THE WEEKLY STANDARD that she was "absolutely" committed to putting the text of the final House bill online for 72 hours before the House votes.

HEALTHCARE PLAN: the "worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever!"

The Wall Street Journal is calling Nancy Pelosi's 1,990-page
government takeover of healthcare the "worst piece of post-New
Deal legislation ever introduced."

The Journal says it will create an "unrepealable middle class
entitlement" that will cause taxes to "rise precipitously" and
will result in "all medicine" being "rationed via politics."
The CBO cost estimate is coming in at $1.055 trillion and
that's just scratching the surface. The Journal says "ObamaCare
will be lucky to cost under $2 trillion over 10 years; it will
grow more after that."

Ever wonder who wrote the Stimulus Bill?

Evidence is now surfacing it was the Apollo Alliance, a green jobs caldron of ideas dedicated to saving the Earth and punishing those who are unfriendly to the environment. If you look at their board they are mostly leftist and some really radical leftist like former member Van Jones, the now defrocked green jobs czar who was a self-avowed communist and community organizer in Oakland, CA. Other former members include ACORN’s founder, Wade Rathke and current member Gerald Hudson, vice president of the Service Employees International Union.

It is not new for legislation to be written by political action committees or special interest groups, but what does an activist, leftist green group know about getting our economy started again? The last time I checked, these serious greenies and for sure many of Apollo’s former board members are anti capitalism and free-enterprise, but according to Phil Kerpen of Americans for Prosperity the Apollo Alliance drafted a stimulus bill in 2008 that included most ingredients of the final $787 billion bill.

The Apollo Alliance is mostly a shell corporation, and as its name indicates, is an alliance of environmentally centered organizations, union flunkies for the left like the Union Service Employees International who turn out carrying signs for Obama’s health care rallies. Others like John Podesta, CEO of the Center for American Progress and former Clinton Chief of Staff, lend their political savvy of progressive policy to the group who has caught an angle on how to snare a large portion of the stimulus money for creating and funding green industries. If they are successful, it will amount to government funded businesses which are becoming a new paradigm, replacing entrepreneurship where individuals invested their own capital and worked hard to make sure they didn’t lose it.

What have the Democrats managed to tuck into this 1,900 page healthcare bill? Well how about goodies like this ... uncovered by BigGovernment.com:

Section 2531, entitled "Medical Liability Alternatives," establishes an incentive program for states to adopt and implement alternatives to medical liability litigation. [But]...... a state is not eligible for the incentive payments if that state puts a law on the books that limits attorneys' fees or imposes caps on damages.

Well that's rather obvious, isn't it? Just what in the hell does this have to do with health care reform? How does protecting trial lawyer's contingency fees improve the delivery and quality of health care to the American people? It is a gift from Nancy Pelosi directly to trial lawyers ... trial lawyers who contribute tens of millions of dollars to Democrats in every election year. Any changes made on medical liability lawsuits will not be allowed to affect the livelihood for her beloved trial lawyers.

House Republican Leader John Boehner says the White House's attack tactics are nothing short of "Chicago-style politics.''

"The White House and congressional Democrats know that their liberal special-interest agenda is not very popular,'' Boehner (R-Ohio) said at his weekly press briefing. "And now they are following a familiar pattern: when you can't win an argument based on the facts, launch vicious political attacks. "This Chicago-style politics is shutting the American people out and demonizing their opponents,'' Boehner asserted.

Valerie Jarrett, one of the president's closest advisers and a friend from Chicago, told MSNBC's Morning Joe that the White House is trying to be "clear and direct '' with the people.

"We're not going to let distortions get in the way of delivering health care to the people,'' said Jarrett, asked about Boehner's comments. "It's not an attack, it's nothing other than trying to speak directly with people, so that they understand what's in the bill'' and health care is passed this year..

Look, Valerie...sweetheart...cut out the bullsh*t crap. If you, and BO, wanted the people to understand what's in the bill, we don't need you telling us...WE COULD READ IT OURSELVES. At least those of your loyal supporters who can read could! If you really want us to know what's in the bill, then tell BO to live up to his promises about "total transparency" and giving us at least 48 hours (72 is more realistic) advance notice before he signs any major piece of legislation. Also, what happened to those meetings on the healthcare bill that were going to be televised on C-Span? It's kinda hard to televise the meetings when the doors are closed and locked!

So cut out the White House spin, Valerie, and stick with running your slum housing projects in Chicago. The real truth is that the White House is NOT trying to be "clear and direct '' with the people. It is lying and deceiving the people in every which way that it can...and you are one of the enablers helping to promote BO's lies.

In order to keep the proposed healthcare plan under $One Trillion, the Liar-in-Chief is moving $247 billion of spending on Medicare doctors' payments to a separate bill while claiming that it has nothing to do with health care! WTF!

Another way that Chairman Max (BO's healthcare lapdog) Baucus was able to keep the cost of the Senate Finance Committee legislation down (as measured by the Congressional Budget Office) was just a simple gimmick.

Given that the CBO only puts a price tag on the first 10 years of a piece of legislation, Democrats realized that they could simply delay the enactment of the major spending provisions of the bill by four years, thus creating the illusion of a bill that costs $829 billion over 10 years. But in actuality, the bill is projected to cost just $14 billion in the first four years, and $70 billion through its fifth year. About 98 percent of the spending comes in the last six years, and 92 percent comes in final five year period. Thus, the true 10-year cost of the Baucus bill is well above $1 trillion, and according to estimates cited by Republicans, it's actually $1.8 trillion. Here's what it will look like:



Unless we can stop this outrageous spending by this congress, future generations will be heavily taxed JUST TO PAY THE INTEREST ON THE NATIONAL DEBT...and that won't even be enough to cover it all.

In addition, according to The National Right to Work Committee, hidden deep inside thousands of pages of health care legislation is the forced unionization of doctors, nurses and other medical workers. THIS ISN'T ABOUT HEALTHCARE...IT'S ABOUT CONTROL OVER OUR LIVES!

Most Conservatives argue that Obama has not done anything much but give speeches, or that he has radically moved to destroy everything that is good about America, in his first 9 months in office.

Federal Government Should Pay for It's Mistake

Last week in the Senate's Special Committee on Aging, George LeMieux, U.S. Senator for Florida, called on the Federal government to keep its commitment to 6,000 Floridians who are enrolled in a government-created long-term care insurance program. When the program was established, the government offered enrollees a locked-in insurance premium if they agreed to pay a higher premium. Despite this commitment, the government announced this summer it will now need to increase premiums by as much as 25 percent.

How to Win the Nobel Peace Prize In 12 Days

While I was away on vacation last week, I heard that BO had won the Nobel Peace Prize.

"WHAT!" I said to myself (that was only part of my exclamation...the rest of it is unprintable). How could that be when people like Gandhi, who led the nonviolent resistance movement against British colonial rule in India during the first half of the 20th century: and Ronald Reagan who peacefully crushed the communist rule of East Germany; and Pope John Paul II who was widely acclaimed as one of the most influential leaders of the twentieth century since he was instrumental in ending communism in his native Poland and eventually all of Europe were never awarded the prize?

In 1939, Hitler was a nominee, Yasser Arafat was a winner, and Al Gore is a recent winner as was Jimmy Carter. Who will be the next nominee...Michael Moore? WTF! So is the Nobel Peace Prize...a noble award or just a joke?

So to answer that Question, I set out to do some research on what qualifies people to be nominated for..and subsequently win...the Nobel Peace Prize. Fortunately for me, Tommy De Seno at "http://justifiedright.typepad.com", already did the work for me. So with thanks to him and with recognition to his work, here is what it takes to win the prize:


"Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize this morning. Over the last decade the only requirement to win the prize was that the nominee had to be critical of George W. Bush (see Al Gore, Mohamed El Baradei and Jimmy Carter).

President Obama has broken new ground here. Nominations for potential winners of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize ended on February 1. The president took office only 12 days earlier on January 20.

Let's take a look at the president's first 12 days in the White House according to his public schedule to see what he did to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize:

January 20: Sworn in as president. Went to a parade. Partied.

January 21: Asked bureaucrats to re-write guidelines for information requests. Held an "open house" party at the White House.

January 22: Signed Executive Orders: Executive Branch workers to take ethics pledge; re-affirmed Army Field Manual techniques for interrogations; expressed desire to close Gitmo (how's that working out?)

January 23: Ordered the release of federal funding to pay for abortions in foreign countries. Lunch with Joe Biden; met with Tim Geithner.

January 24: Budget meeting with economic team.

January 25: Skipped church.

January 26: Gave speech about jobs and energy. Met with Hillary Clinton. Attended Geithner's swearing in ceremony.

January 27: Met with Republicans. Spoke at a clock tower in Ohio.

January 28: Economic meetings in the morning, met with Defense secretary in the afternoon.

January 29: Signed Ledbetter Bill overturning Supreme Court decision on lawsuits over wages. Party in the State Room. Met with Biden.

January 30: Met economic advisers. Gave speech on Middle Class Working Families Task Force. Met with senior enlisted military officials.

January 31: Took the day off.

February 1: Skipped church. Threw a Super Bowl party.

So there you have it. The short path to the Nobel Peace Prize: Party, go to meetings, skip church, release federal funding to pay for abortions in foreign countries, party some more.

My conclusion is that the Peace Prize is just one, big Liberal joke on humanity...and anyone who believes otherwise is a fool.
