Can You Believe the Blatant, Arrogant, Unmitigated Gall of These People?

NEWS QUOTE: Senator Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) says Congress has the authority to mandate that people buy health insurance and that there is no constitutional limit on Congress’ power to enact such mandates. “Well, I would assume it would be in the Commerce clause of the Constitution. That’s how Congress legislates all kinds of various programs,”

First they pass an outrageous healthcare bill that the majority of Americans have clearly stated that they don't want...and then they tell us that we have to start paying for it now, but won't be able to benefit from it until 2014...then on top of that they MANDATE that we will HAVE TO PAY for an individual health insurance policy, or face stiff penalties! WUWD(what up wit dat)?

The Commerce clause is found in Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution. It states the numerous powers authorized to Congress, including the power “To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among several States, and with the Indian tribes.”

Now how in holy hell can that be interpreted as to give Congress the right to mandate Americans to buy something they don't want? Do they regard us as one of the stupid underclass Indian Tribes that must be regulated by their upperclass intelligencia?

If they can get away with this, is there a limit to their authority? Or is there anything that can’t be mandated through their liberal interpretations of the Constitution?

T'was the day before Christmas: An Obama Holiday Greeting

T'was the day before Christmas,
and all through the House (The Senate, actually)
the Dumbassocrats were stirring
to pass the outrageous Healthcare Plan
that was "pushed through" in secrecy,
with phony cost projections from the CBO,
so that they could fool us into believing
that this won't cut medicare benefits,
bankrupt the country...and lead us,and our kids,
into generations of servitude to government and unions.
All this while the stockings were being hung with great care.

But, despite these criticisms, the Liar-in-Chief,
Obama...or "The Messiah," as he would like to be known,
says he will sign this bill -- once reconciled by the House,
which is controlled also by Dumbassocrats,
while inwardly chuckling to himself about
the Audacity of Dopes.

Then up away, up away, up away all--
the Senators home to face the anger
of their constituency, and
BO to Hawaii to bask in the glow
of how his program of radical socialism
will destroy the foundations of America.
Aaaah, he thinks, "the Hope & Change gimmick sure worked
with enough simpletons to get me voted in."
And now with healthcare assured, I can relax and plan
on how to further destroy America over the next 3 years.

On Dasher, on Dancer, on Air Force One...
get me away from here so I don't have to answer
all those questions from Rush, Beck, Sean, and O'Reilly et. al.
on how future generations will pay for this healthcare fiasco.
But before I leave...one more gift for all my supporters.
10% pay raises for all top government officials, and to
government controlled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac,
their chief executive officers got annual pay packages
worth $6 million apiece,
while their other top execs got at least $2 million.
But even though my friends in government
are doing quite well this year,
despite the rest of the country suffering through this recession
....and it's 10% unemployment rate, to them
let me say, "Assalaamu 'alaykum and... enjoy the fruitcake"
(as in "Let them eat cake!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR and good health to all in 2010....
and in 2011, and also in 2012 and 2013...
(since your healthcare benefits won't begin til 2014)

Aren't you thrilled at how our government in Washington actually works? The Democrats want to take over about 17% of our entire economy ...and all they had to do to was pay off a few Senators. Principle be damned .. it's only about money. But I don't think that anyone is at all surprised here.

What really pisses me off is that we taxpayers paid for this through the Stimulus Bill...which as it turns out is just a huge slush fund to pay off politicians for their vote to support BO.

Complacent Sheep Allow Gov't to Shackle Our Freedoms

In 1755, Benjamin Franklin wrote: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

While many stand idly by watching in wonder, like awed children, as each link in our "servitude to government" chain is being forged not realizing that each planned link is being joined together to manufacture the shackles keeping our nation prisoners without heritage, attempting forever to hobble our mobility, strength, and passions. That chain is to insure that Americans will not be able to regain the lost liberties, and freedoms that are not being stolen, but offered up by the complacent sheep within our nation for some remote promise that there was something better than what the United States Constitution gave to all people of our once great land.

Our so-called "leaders" have no respect for the constitution nor do they care for our freedoms! Their only goal is power and control over our lives.

Interesting Amazon comments on Algore's stupid new book: OUR CHOICE

--Just look at the cover. One of the hurricanes is spinning in the wrong direction. Also, Cuba is under water. If this ever happened, then Denver would be under water too! I guess Gore didn't know that Cuba has mountains.

--Let's see...did Gore fail to convince adults of his "science" so he now has to target impressionable children? The Global Warming crowd can't even get the cover of the book right. The 'hurricane' in the Atlantic is rotating the wrong way.

--Only sorry I couldn't give it zero stars.
The science is suspect (google it) and it is so biased as to expose his agenda... avoid this one

--I read through this book at the store and could not believe that this man can live with himself. Beyond trying to indoctrinate children by aiming propoganda at "young readers", the reality is that so much of what is in this book is simply factually wrong. Please do not get this for your children. If you are interested in doing things to help the earth, there are a number truly great books to help you plant a garden, recycle, etc. that you can purchase.

Look at leaders of the Democrat Party in Congress:

Harry Reid is a lawyer.
Nancy Pelosi is a lawyer.

The Republican Party is different.
President Bush is a businessman.
Vice President Cheney is a businessman.
The leaders of the Republican Revolution:
Newt Gingrich was a history professor.
Tom Delay was an exterminator. Dick Armey was an economist.
House Minority Leader Boehner was a plastic manufacturer.
The former Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist is a heart surgeon.

Who was the last Republican president who was a lawyer? Gerald Ford, who left office 31 years ago and who barely won the Republican nomination as a sitting president, running against Ronald Reagan in 1976. The Republican Party is made up of real people doing real work, who are often the targets of lawyers.

The Democrat Party is made up of lawyers. Democrats mock and scorn men who create wealth, like Bush and Cheney, or who heal the sick, like Frist, or who immerse themselves in history, like Gingrich.

The Lawyers' Party sees these sorts of people, who provide goods and services that people want, as the enemies of America . And, so we have seen the procession of official enemies, in the eyes of the Lawyers' Party, grow.

Against whom do Hillary and Obama rail? Pharmaceutical companies, oil companies, hospitals, manufacturers, fast food restaurant chains, large retail businesses, bankers, and anyone producing anything of value in our nation.

This is the natural consequence of viewing everything through the eyes of lawyers. Lawyers solve problems by successfully representing their clients, in this case the American people. Lawyers seek to have new laws passed, they seek to win lawsuits, they press appellate courts to overturn precedent, and lawyers always parse language to favor their side.

Confined to the narrow practice of law, that is fine. But it is an awful way to govern a great nation. When politicians as lawyers begin to view some Americans as clients and other Americans as opposing parties, then the role of the legal system in our life becomes all-consuming. Some Americans become "adverse parties" of our very government. We are not all litigants in some vast social class-action suit. We are citizens of a republic that promises us a great deal of freedom from laws, from courts, and from lawyers.

Today, we are drowning in laws; we are contorted by judicial decisions; we are driven to distraction by omnipresent lawyers in all parts of our once private lives. America has a place for laws and lawyers, but that place is modest and reasonable, not vast and unchecked. When the most important decision for our next president is whom he will appoint to the Supreme Court, the role of lawyers and the law in America is too big. When lawyers use criminal prosecution as a continuation of politics by other means, as happened in the lynching of Scooter Libby and Tom Delay, then the power of lawyers in America is too great. When House Democrats sue America in order to hamstring our efforts to learn what our enemies are planning to do to us, then the role of litigation in America has become crushing.

We cannot expect the Lawyers' Party to provide real change, real reform or real hope in America Most Americans know that a republic in which every major government action must be blessed by nine unelected judges is not what Washington intended in 1789. Most Americans grasp that we cannot fight a war when ACLU lawsuits snap at the heels of our defenders. Most Americans intuit that more lawyers and judges will not restore declining moral values or spark the spirit of enterprise in our economy.

Perhaps Americans will understand that change cannot be brought to our nation by those lawyers who already largely dictate American society and business. Perhaps Americans will see that hope does not come from the mouths of lawyers but from personal dreams nourished by hard work. Perhaps Americans will embrace the truth that more lawyers with more power will only make our problems worse.

The United States has 5% of the world's population and 66% of the world's lawyers! Tort (Legal) reform legislation has been introduced in congress several times in the last several years to limit punitive damages in ridiculous lawsuits such as "spilling hot coffee on yourself and suing the establishment that sold it to you" and also to limit punitive damages in huge medical malpractice lawsuits. This legislation has continually been blocked from even being voted on by the Democrat Party. When you see that 97% of the political contributions from the American Trial Lawyers Association goes to the Democrat Party, then you realize who is responsible for our medical and product costs being so high!

Are you really aware of just how much politicians - and I'm talking politicians from both parties - have trashed the future of your children and grandchildren? Are you sitting out there just blissfully thinking that since this country has been here all of your life, in generally the same shape it is right now, that it will always be here in something resembling its present form for your children and grandchildren? Have you ever heard that all good things come to end? Well then, what makes you so sure that this saying doesn't apply to this country? Do you think we're somehow bulletproof? Has it occurred to you that the citizens of the Soviet Union might well have thought the same thing?

Over the weekend I picked up a copy of Mark Levin's "Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto." Levin's book truly is just what is purports to be: "A Conservative Manifesto." It's brilliant. If I could write like that I might take a stab at another book ... but I can't. Leave the brilliance to Levin.

Here ... let me show you something from Levin's book. This comes from Chapter 7 "On the Welfare State." Levin was writing about the costs of entitlement programs like Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. All of these programs are piling financial obligations on future generations of Americans (that would be your descendants) that they simply will not be able to pay for. Read this paragraph:

"In 2008, David Walker, then the comptroller general of the United States, reported that the total burden in present value dollars of these and other entitlement programs, including the federal government's liabilities, commitments and contingencies, is about $53 trillion. He added, 'Imagine we decide to put aside and invest today enough to cover these promises tomorrow. It would take approximately $455,000 per American household - or $175,000 for every man, woman and child in the United States."

Did that catch your attention? Right now there is NO MONEY, not one single cent, set aside to pay for these entitlements. We are paying for all of them as we go .. and at the same time we have to pay for the normal costs of operation of our federal government. You know, pesky little things like courts, transportation infrastructure, law enforcement and a bit set aside for national defense. That figure you see above "per American household?" That assumes the average household size of 2.6 people. If you're household is larger than your share of this burden increases. Husband, wife and two children? Try $700,000.

So ... what's the big deal? Well maybe you can tell ME just how we're going to meet this obligation. Frankly, I don't see how we can do it. Besides ... in case you haven't been paying attention, the Democrats just got through working through an entire weekend trying to add yet another entitlement program to the mix ... and this one, your entitlement to healthcare, will make Medicare and Medicaid look like a friendly game of checkers.

Do you really think the Looters are being honest with you about how much this is all going to cost? Come on, you have to be kidding me. Here's just one little trick they're pulling that I'm betting they've completely slipped by you. They're going to start collecting taxes, penalties and fees for ObamaCare as soon as they get the bill passed. BUT ... They're not going to start to provide benefits under the bill for three or four years. So the Looters are giving us a figure for what ObamaCare will cost during the next ten years ... without really explaining that spending on benefits will only take place for six or seven of those years. Can you just imagine what the second ten years will be like?

Let me try to give you an analogy here. You're buying a new home. The builder tells you that for a certain annual payment he will give you a 100% warranty on the home. He tells you that it will only cost you $1000 per year, or $10,000 for the first ten years. What he doesn't tell you is that you start paying your $1000 per year immediately - with the first $1000 collected at closing --- but he's going to wait for four years before he'll fix anything. You're getting eight months of coverage for one year's payments. That's exactly what the Democrats are doing to you with the so-called health "reform" bill they've been dealing with all weekend. You didn't really know that, did you? Surely you don't think the ObamaMedia was going to explain that to you.

Let's cap this rant off with this:

In spite of the numbers I've outline above, it won't matter a bit to a huge percentage of Americans. As I've said before, we have three basic classes of people in our society. There are the producers that create the wealth. Then there are the moochers that seek to consume the wealth created by the producers; and finally we have the looters who seize the wealth from the producers to transfer to the moochers in exchange for votes ... which is the same thing as saying\ in exchange for power.

There are tens of millions of Americans out there right now who do not give a flying fornication what sort of debt we're piling up for future generations of American to pay. They're not going to be around to help pay that debt off, so it means nothing to them. What they do so earnestly care about is their free ride. They can't give you one good logical reason why anyone other than themselves should be responsible for their health care, but as long as the Democrats are willing to relieve them of that burdensome responsibility, they're more than willing to go along. Too many of these people it's just more money for iPhones and PlayStations.

This country is being killed by the moochers and the looters who pander to them.
