He then went on to say: "And in case anybody wonders -- in any of your reporting, in case you're wondering who's responsible, I take responsibility. It is my job to make sure that everything is done to shut this down."

Now you may think he was still talking about the oil spill but actually he was referring to the economy. That's right! He is making sure that he is doing everything he can to shut down this economy....AND I'D SAY HE'S DOING A GREAT JOB THUS FAR!

One day THE FUTURE GENERATION KILLER announces a plan for enhanced rescission authority to impound wasteful spending, and the next day the House surfaces with a plan for $200 billion more in "stimulus" spending on transfer payments for welfare, even more unemployment compensation, still more Medicaid and a bunch of special-interest subsidies. This is on top of the $787 billion stimulus plan passed earlier in the year, and the "ball-busting" healthcare plan recently passed.  I guess he thinks that future generations won't mind lowering their standards of living to pay for these things...because we sure don't have the money to pay for them now.


So are we to believe that the Liar-in-Chief will rescind the excess appropriations? Hardly! And since pay-go is dead, most of this new spending will not be offset.

It will add to deficits and debt.


SO MUCH FOR HIS CONCERN OVER FUTURE GENERATIONS!

Malia should go back and ask her Daddy: "When are you going to stop raping this country and stop these wasteful spending programs so that America can begin it's long road to recovery?"

TIPS FOR GRADUATES IN THE OBAMA ECONOMY

So you just spent four...or more... years earning a degree in higher education so that you can go out and seek your fortune.  But the fact is that in this Obama economy, your dreams of starting your own business or pursuing a career may have to be put on hold. But you can't just sit around and mooch off your parents. And you certainly don't want to sit around and mooch off the taxpayers. So here to help you get started I am going to give you some tips for your first job after graduation. I hope they serve you well:

1. Greet the customer within 30 seconds of being seated.
2. Dark clothes, black napkin. I hate having white lint all over my clothes.
3. Don't constantly refill somebody's ice tea. They have it sweetened JUST the way they wanted it, and every time you add more to the glass I have to sit there for 5 minutes just to get it back to the way I want it again.
4. Make sure the table always has enough butter.
5. Handle the check BEFORE you clear the table. "May I have the check please?" sounds and looks a lot different that "May you please clear the table?" After I remove my ass from your restaurant, THEN you can clear the table.
6. (The final hint) Don't disappear once the meal is finished.

Now if this is not your first job after you graduate into the Obama economy, maybe some of these tips will also be useful:

1. Get one of those green Christmas tree air fresheners for your cab.
2. Get a map or a GPS so you can get your fare to their destination easily.
3. Try to keep the windows clean.
4. Clean the spit and vomit from your cab as soon as possible.

And finally ... if all else fails... practice this line over and over and you will be ready for your new career in the Obama Economy:

"Would you like French Fries with that?"

Government: The Next Bubble to Burst

The economic collapse of Greece is a wake-up call. The unsustainable combination of a bloated public bureaucracy, high deficit spending and unfunded pension obligations busted Greece's government bubble. Now the birthplace of modern democracy is on the brink of becoming a failed state.

The Bank of England recently warned that the U.S. is on the road to the same fiscal failure as Greece, and the Obama administration's insistence on massive public spending and increasing deficits is the reason.  At this rate, the U.S. government will be the next economic bubble to burst. We've seen similar downturns: the information technology bubble in 2000, housing in 2007 and Wall Street in 2008. If unchecked, America's government bubble will depress our economy with higher interest rates and defaulting state and local governments.

The way to stop the government bubble from bursting is through strict fiscal discipline and empowering the private sector with tax relief.  Federal spending alone this year accounts for 25% of our nation's gross domestic product. If you add state and local spending, the number is closer to 50%. No economy can thrive when nearly half of all economic output is directed by politicians rather than entrepreneurs and small businesses.

After big government spending, government employee unions pose a serious threat to America's fiscal health. Over the past 30 years, union membership has declined significantly, from 23% of all workers in 1980 to about 12% today. But the percentage of union members working for government has soared: Over 50% of all union workers in the U.S. are employed by the government compared with only 17% in 1980.

In addition, government workers make about $10 per hour more than the average private sector worker.  And when they retire, taxpayers are on the hook to pay for lucrative pensions promised by a generation of politicians trying to win the next election. America's small-business owners could only dream of providing the type of pensions that government workers take for granted.

The way to stop the government bubble from bursting is through strict fiscal discipline and empowering the private sector with tax relief. Reducing federal spending is an urgent priority.  The engine of the American economy is small business, not government.  If the size of government continues to grow, there will be less of free enterprise and less creation of new wealth and new jobs. The American government will primarily function to spread the wealth.   Like in Greece, the economy here will fail.

Congress will not make the tough decisions necessary to reduce spending unless we force its hand. When we balanced the budget in the 1990s, we did it with strong controls on spending, real reform of welfare and Medicare, and tax cuts to increase economic growth. This led to four straight years of balanced budgets for the first time since the 1920s.

THE OIL LEAK: Taxpayers SHOULD NOT pick up the tab!

Neal Boortz checks in with this pearl of wisdom.  Freakin Obama never misses a chance to take our money from us.

"The oil spill in the Gulf is a, no doubt, a terrible situation. BP should absolutely pay for its wrong-doing. But now Congress has managed to find a way to eek billions out of the situation in a way that will ultimately hurt the consumers.  Congress is getting ready to quadruple--to 32 cents a barrel--a tax on oil used to help finance cleanups. This will end up raising $11 billion over the next decade.  What Congress fails to realize is that a tax on a company ultimately gets passed down to the consumer. This is essentially taxing Americans, increasing our prices, for the failures of BP.  Maybe it's just me .. but doesn't it make more sense to hold the company responsible for the link accountable? 

Wait ... there's more. This is the first oil leak of this type since Santa Barbara in 1969. That makes 41 years between incidents. With technology constantly advancing, do you really think that the chances for another incident like this in the near future .. let alone in the next 41 years .. are great? But, in the meantime, our government collects it's new taxes? Tell me .. what do you think the government will do with this money? Put it in a savings account somewhere where it can draw interest? Are you kidding me? The money will be spent to buy votes ... and when and if another spill like this comes along the money will be nowhere to be found.

ANOTHER STEP TOWARD SOCIALISM

Obama took another big step toward socialism by pushing through the Senate his financial regulation bill last week.  It  authorizes the treasury to seize any financial company or bank  simply because, in his opinion, it's too big to fail or become insolvent. This power can be used for political retribution, pressure for campaign funding, or for any other abuse that the bureaucrats or liberal dems can think of.

And the bill fails to do the one thing it must do: regulate derivatives and make them transparent...thanks to our buddy Chris Dodd, one of the major Dumbocrat architects of the housing bust, who paid back his pals on Wall Street by deleting that particular regulatory provision and instead setting up a commission to study the situation for two years!  WTF!

Four Republicans sold out IN ORDER FOR THIS TO PASS.  Among the RINOs were Susan Collins and Olympia Snow of Maine. But, surprisingly, Scott Brown, R-Mass., the newly elected Massachusetts Miracle, defected, as did the normally stalwart Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa. What's with these northeastern poliyicians?  Do the long, harsh winters up there affect their brain cells?  And what's with Scott Brown??  The good news with him is that a Republican won Ted Kennedy's fat-ass seat; the bad news is that he is acting like Ted Kennedy.   Double WTF!

Now the federal government has effectively taken over about one third of our national economy by passing Obamacare and regulatory reform in almost the same breath.  And I'm sure there is more to come before the November elections!

People...you better start learning the words to "Mmm, Mmm, Mmm Barack Hussein Obama" cuz soon every school kid in the nation will be required to sing it at the start of the school day, and before all sporting events, instead of the National Anthem!

I’m still going to ask why it was such a huge story when George W. Bush hit “500″ military deaths, and “1,000″ military deaths and on and on? Couric-BS News used to run nightly stories of deaths. The New York Times had huge coverage when the “Bush Death Count” hit 500...and 1,000.

True to the hypocrisy you can count on from the left, the deaths of these brave men and women are just not important now that Bush is out. The point of the news was never the deaths. It was never meant to tell you about the brave men and women fighting for this great nation. It was all designed to create Viet-Nam-like images in your mind so that Bush could be defeated. Is that too harsh? I don’t think so!

The Obama Death Count topped 500 on February 13th and all you get is silence from the LIBERAL MEDIA.  The President who promised to end the wars and bring all of our troops home now has more than 515 soldier deaths under his command...another lie from the LIAR-IN-CHIEF.  So  we fairly ask where are the Obama Death Counts? Hmmmm?  We know the answer. They don’t exist...or they get "buried" inside the newspapers.  This is blazing hypocrisy on the part of liberals, progressives, democrats, so-called journalists at major news organizations, and faux anti-war protesters.

Tuesday marked 1,000 Americans dead in Afghanistan. It took almost seven years for the war to kill the first 500 but less than two to kill the second 500.
Last fall President Obama ordered a troop increase, with the bulk of the troops expected to be in place by this summer. The increase in troops will certainly lead to an increase in casualties, both American and Afghan.

OBAMA CONTINUES PUMPING OUR MONEY INTO "FANNY & FREDDIE" WITHOUT REFORMING IT!

The New York Times noted yesterday (May, 11):


“Fannie Mae’s request on Monday for another $8.4 billion in federal aid comes at a politically inconvenient time for the Obama administration, which is pressing to pass sweeping financial legislation without resolving the company’s future…. Democrats want to defer an overhaul of federal housing policy until next year, after the midterm elections. But Republicans have seized on the continuing losses to argue that a plan for the two companies should be a priority of the current legislation.”


Republicans have been pressing for an end to bailouts that would get the government out of the mortgage business once and for all. But Democrats are not only unwilling to reform Fannie and Freddie, they are doubling down on the failed government mortgage companies – burning through hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars in the process. As the Washington Post noted in a report yesterday: “Under the terms of the government's 2008 emergency takeover of Fannie and Freddie, the Treasury must pump money into either firm whenever its worth, as measured by assets minus liabilities, goes into the red. Late last year, the Obama administration pledged unlimited backing.”


For years, Republicans raised red flags about Fannie and Freddie’s financial condition and proposed responsible reforms only to be thwarted by Democrats who have deep political ties to the worst offenders. These same powerful Democrats are now pushing for a financial reform bill that doesn’t even address the need to fix these government mortgage companies. As the Wall Street Journal wrote last week, “reforming the financial system without fixing Fannie and Freddie is like declaring a war on terror and ignoring al Qaeda.”

(Reuters) - Fannie Mae, the largest U.S. residential mortgage provider, on Monday reported a net loss of $13.1 billion in the first quarter and said it tapped the Treasury for additional aid of $15.3 billion.


Its regulator, the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has asked for $8.4 billion more before June 30 from the Treasury for Fannie Mae to eliminate its net worth deficit as of March 31. With that draw, Fannie Mae will have received $84.6 billion in federal aid.


The company said it expects default rates and credit-related costs to remain heightened this year with housing still weak, saying there is "significant uncertainty as to our long-term financial sustainability."

MSNBC News Flash: Arizona Law 'Makes it a Crime to be Illegal Immigrant'

During the Monday 12PM ET hour of live coverage on MSNBC, anchor Contessa Brewer described the "firestorm" over a newly passed immigration law in Arizona and fretted: "does this lead to a situation where neighbors are turning in neighbors or families turning against families?" Later in the segment, a headline on screen read: "Law Makes it a Crime to be Illegal Immigrant."
 
Brewer discussed the issue with Democratic Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez and wondered: "Is this an effective way to deal with the problem?" In response, Sanchez declared: "to stop people and say, 'I think you look like an illegal immigrant' and then drag them off to jail is not the way to deal with this issue."

Brewer followed up by quoting current Homeland Security Secretary and former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano: "she would veto these kinds of bills because she said – she thought it was important for police to be doing actual police work, that they are not immigration enforcement officers." As Brewer made that argument, the headline "Law Makes it a Crime to be " flashed on screen.

POLITICIANS AND WALL STREET COMBINE TO SCREW US...

...AND THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE WITH DEMOCRATS!

Goldman Sachs employees gave three times as much money ($4.5 million) to Democrats as they did to Republicans in the least election cycle. Employees at Citicorp gave twice as much money ($3.1 million) to Democrats as they did Republicans. During the 2010 election cycle 62% of the money from the securities and investment industry went to Democrats. Now doesn't that look like there is somewhat of a cozy little relationship between Democrats and Wall Street? Right now Democrats are pushing what they call a "financial reform" bill that some say will give large Wall Street firms a virtual green light to make risky investments with the understanding that the government will bail them out if things turn out poorly. Sweet deal, if you can get it ... and apparently you can get it if you know where your political donations should go.

What irks me about this is that the dumbassocrats and their media troglodytes are continuously linking Wall Street with the Republican Party as if the Republicans are "fat cat" millionaires sponging off the public while making fortunes on Wall Street.  And it seems to be working!  I hope the average dumbocrats would pull their heads out of their butts long enough to come to this realization, and recognize that their politicians are deeper in bed with Wall Street than anyone else is.  GOLDMAN SACHS, anyone?

GREECE: What happens when a parasite is separated from the host

Some of you may think that I am being dramatic when I say that images of Greece may soon become a reality in America, if we continue down our current path. Yeah ... that's me. Mr. Drama. There are two main issues that led to the downfall of Greece. First, the government took on too much debt, which means the Greek government spends too much money. While our own government debt is alarming - and growing at record rates with The Community Organizer in charge. We're in a financial crisis right now - not as bad as Greece, but bad enough - but it wasn't caused so much by government debt as it was by government ineptness. It was private debt that sent us into a tailspin. Specifically, trillions of dollars owed on real estate loans by people who didn't have and never had much of a chance of paying those loans off. Our government debt problem can still be solved - but not with this man in the White House and these big-spenders controlling the congress.


What is going to be a lot harder to solve is the second issue that led to Greece's downfall: an entitlement culture. Greece is a country that has managed to convince its people that they need the government in order to survive. Not only do they need the government but they are ENTITLED to certain things, and like any good entitlement culture, that list of "things" only grows and grows. Suddenly, the people of Greece believe that they are owed a comfortable life by their government, even if they are not willing to work for it.
In Greece the average government worker retires at 58 years-of-age with 80% of their final basic salary. The Greek government can't even tell you how many government employees there are. Some estimate that figure to be one out of three Greek workers. Unions run the show and the government marches to the demands of union leaders. In this regard Greek government officials are much like our own. Unlike the private sector, when government officials are met with unreasonable union demands for wages and job security they don't have to crunch the numbers to see if the demands can be met with any degree of fiscal responsibility. After all .. they can just raise taxes. You start weighing the effect of unions working against your reelection to the mindless voters remembering a tax increase a year later when they go to the polls and ... well, it's not hard to figure out.

Over the years, Greek salaries and pensions have risen 30% above Greek productivity ... in other words, they were getting paid more than they were worth. Not only that, but they felt ENTITLED to this payment and only sought to gain more and more while doing less and less. We are talking about a culture where being a hairdresser is considered a "hazardous job" ... a hazardous job that makes you eligible to retire with a full pension (funded by the government) at the age of 50. But it's not just hairdressers, there are 580 other job categories that have managed to convince the government that there job is so hazardous that they are worthy of an early retirement - 50 for women and 55 for men. Radio and TV presenters - I guess that would include yours truly - can take early retirement because they are thought to be at risk from bacteria on their microphones. Musicians who play wind instruments .. they can retire at age 50 because they have to deal with gastric reflux from all the puffing and blowing.

No, I am not making this stuff up. This is what happens when you have a country that believes they are owed everything and a government that is willing to give it to them because that gives them (the politicians) more power. In the meantime, paying for this mentality mattered not ... until now.

Are we now watching the final chapter in Greece? The EU and the IMF are ready to bail out Greece with over $150 billion dollars, but there are strings. Wages are going to have to be cut. Government employees are going to lose jobs ... and, as you can see if you peel your eyes away from Inside Edition this evening ... the Greeks don't like it. They're rioting. They're attacking their own police officers. They're destroying property. Greece is virtually paralyzed by violence .. people reacting to the reality that their cushy ride might be coming to an end. You're seeing what happens when a parasite is separated from the host ... when the protected and coddled face the prospect of having to develop a bit of self-reliance.
Could this happen in America? Can someone please tell me why it could not?

TAX CHEAT GEITHNER SUPPORTS LIES IN GM AD

"We have repaid our government loans in full, with interest, five years ahead of schedule."

According to the Washington Examiner editorial on May 3, this blatant lie is being repeated daily in a national advertising campaign featuring General Motors Chairman, Ed Whitacre. (He is referring to $49.5 billion the Treasury Department gave GM in last year's bailout. In return, Treasury got a 60.8 percent common equity stake in GM, $2.1 billion in preferred stock and $7.1 billion in GM debt.)

Whitacre sounds convincing in a down-home sort of way in the TV spot, but the reality is that this statement is a blatant misrepresentation. And Whitacre knows it. He's probably not worried about that fact, however, because it was endorsed by none other than Secretary of the Treasury and renown tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, who issued a supportive statement saying, "We are encouraged that GM has repaid its debt well ahead of schedule and confident that the company is on a strong path to viability."


Here are the facts, according to Neil Barofsky, inspector general for the Troubled Assets Relief Program. His most recent quarterly report explained that, "the source of funds for these quarterly [debt] payments will be other TARP funds currently held in an escrow account."

In other words, as Reps. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said in a letter to Whitacre, the GM chairman's words come "dangerously close to committing fraud. ... Your false statements may expose GM to millions of dollars in damages, further reducing the value of the taxpayer-owned company. The American people, as the majority shareholders of GM, have a right to know the truth behind the cost of the GM bailout and GM's genuine financial condition." Issa and Jordan are minority members of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y. The Towns panel should put Whitacre and Geithner under oath and demand to know the facts behind this misrepresentation.

Obviously Mr. Griffin has no idea why Fox is the #1 news network. It's not because they "stand for something"... it's because they REPORT the news fairly. As much as the left believes it to be, they do not cheer lead for any one party or candidate. They report news that the average, middle-class American doesn't see on CNN or MSNBC. They have talk programs that are more in touch with the average American and not the elite. They interview guests from both the right AND the left. Most liberals bash FOX because they are not traditional and don't bang the drum for Obama 24/7. I thought the left was the party that was "open" and "transparent" and "listens to all countering opinions"....yeah, right. One of my good friends is a hard-core lefty and he won't even watch Fox Network TV shows because he says "Murdoch owns them." Sounds pretty open-minded to me......what a hypocrite!

MSNBC will never, ever see ratings like FOX news until they realize they are in the minority and we already have CBS, ABC, NBC, NPR and most newspapers reporting the same drivel.    With Sarah Palin obsessed Keith Olbermann, carpet-muncher Rachel Madcow and arrogant loud-mouth Chris Matthews in their lineup, it appears MSNBC is content to have less than half of Fox's viewership.  This group is the most arrogant, leftist liberal crowd ever seen by mankind...AND THEY CONSISTENLY REPORT COMMENTS OUT OF CONTEXT...AND OUTRIGHT LIE...TO MAKE THEIR ARGUMENTS.

MSNBC is the Obama network. 24/7 you get sickening sweet stories about Barack and Michelle and the Garden of Evil and the kids and the adulation and the chanting etc etc etc... MSNBC is no longer a reliable news source because of their totally biased stories glorifying Obama. That's why their ratings are falling, falling, falling while Fox ratings rise. Even CNN has started to wake up and report the news instead of slanting it to favor Obama like they had . Perhaps that huge drop in their ratings made them realize that many of us are not enamoured of the Obamas and will turn the dial whenever they try to ram them down our throats.The country has finally awakened to the fact that they elected an incompetent Community Agitator and that Oprah lied to us- Obama doesn't speak the "unvarnished" truth, he has set race relations back 50 years and his claims of transparency are laughable when he has sealed almost all of his personal documents.
