Neal Boortz had some fun last Friday on his radio show.

The Westminster Dog Show is underway in New York, and about seven new breeds will be introduced. He imagined that one of the new breeds would be the ObamaDog and used Twitter to get some suggestions from listeners on the traits of the ObamaDog. Here's what he and his listeners came up with:

To paper train the ObamaDog simply put down a copy of the U.S. Constitution. The ObamaDog will pee and poop all over it.
The ObamaDog likes to hump Chris Matthew’s leg. Hence the tingle.
The ObamaDog won’t hunt. He waits to get his fair share from an actual hunting dog.
The ObamaDog won’t bark without a teleprompter
The female ObamaDog has a very stout rear end and eats veggies. The male ObamaDog is painfully thin with big ears and always looks down its snout at other dogs.
The ObamaDog has big ears and barks out of its ass.
The ObamaDog won the Westminster “Best in Show” by simply being entered with no previous dog show experience.
The ObamaDog is the perennial winner in the Dog and Crony Show.

Then followers posted the following comments:

The ObamaDog is supposed to be a champion and a purebred, but you can’t look at it’s titles or pedigree – ‘cause that would be Racist somehow.

And when it lifts it’s leg to mark your favorite plant – it’ll be the Bush’s fault.

Last week USA TODAY reported that for 2011, the economy grew at an inflation-adjusted 1.7% compared to a 3% gain in 2010. It suggests that the economy might not accelerate in coming months as much as expected.

What? But our Liar-in-Chief reported only last week that our economy is getting better! WTF! Consider these facts:

If the economy is getting better, then why did new home sales in the United States hit a brand new all-time record low during 2011?

If the economy is getting better, then why are there 6 million less jobs in America today than there were before the recession started?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the average duration of unemployment in this country close to an all-time record high?

If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of homeless female veterans more than doubled?

If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of Americans on food stamps increased by 3 million since this time last year and by more than 14 million since Barack Obama entered the White House? For every three Americans working, one person is on food stamps. That's as low as it's ever been. And counting the entire population, one out of every seven people is on food stamps,

If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of children living in poverty in America risen for four years in a row?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the percentage of Americans living in "extreme poverty" at an all-time high?

If the economy is getting better, then why is the Federal Housing Administration on the verge of a financial collapse?

If the economy is getting better, then why do only 23 percent of American companies plan to hire more employees in 2012?

If the economy is getting better, then why has the number of self-employed Americans fallen by more than 2 million since 2006?

ABC and NBC Anything But Fast and Furious On Gun Scandal

Deaths, guns, whistle-blowers and the highest law officer in the land stonewalling a congressional investigation are the juicy ingredients of a story network news reporters would love to cover – if a Republican were in office. However, when Attorney General Eric Holder testified on Thursday (February 2) before a House oversight committee investigating Operation Fast and Furious, the news was completely ignored by NBC and ABC (there was one full story on Friday’s CBS This Morning). The virtual blackout of Holder’s testimony continues an overall trend of ABC and NBC burying one of the Obama administration’s biggest scandals, despite continual coverage by their competitors at CBS, CNN and Fox News.

MRC analysts reviewed the Big Three network evening and morning news shows and found that while CBS aired 29 stories and 1 brief on Fast and Furious, ABC aired only one brief on the June 15, 2011 edition of Good Morning America. That was still better than what NBC did on their morning and evening news programs, as the gunwalking story has never been mentioned on either NBC Nightly News or the Today show. NBC’s Miguel Almaguer, in a report primarily about a Mexican mother accusing border patrol agents of killing her 17-year old son as he tried to scale a wall, did note that “In December, Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed in a shootout with bandits.” However, Almaguer never tied the Terry killing back to the gunwalking scandal.

It should be noted Chris Hansen, on the April 17, 2011 edition of NBC’s magazine show Dateline, did report that the ATF “as part of an undercover operation, actually allowed hundreds of guns to be smuggled to the Mexican drug cartels.” However, Hansen never linked Holder to the operation or even mentioned Terry’s name.

Hansen’s failure to mention Terry’s name is particularly galling considering his mother, Josephine has repeatedly demanded Holder apologize for her son’s death, most recently after Thursday’s hearing as she called the Attorney General a “coward.” Josephine Terry is not being granted the same cause celeb status that the networks gave George W. Bush harasser Cindy Sheehan.

Only one reporter, Sharyl Attkisson at CBS News, has truly cared to cover the story, even in the face of being briefly benched after the White House complained. Attkisson, who broke the gunwalking story back on the February 23, 2011 Evening News, routinely reported the hot stories ABC and NBC wouldn’t touch. The following is a timeline of those key stories and how they were covered by CBS, ABC and NBC:

# February 23, 2011 CBS Evening News:

SHARYL ATTKISSON: December 14, 2010, the place, a dangerous smuggling route in Arizona, not far from the border. A special tactical border squad was on patrol when gunfire broke out and agent Brian Terry, shown here in a training exercise, was killed....The assault rifles found at the murder, similar to these, were traced back to a U.S. gun shop. Where they came from and how they got there is a scandal so large, some insiders say it surpasses the shoot- out at Ruby Ridge and the deadly siege at Waco.

According to chief White House lapdog Jay Carney, 1.2 million people dropping out of the labor force in January can be seen as an "economic positive." Yeah! It certainly was an economic positive for Obama because those people no longer had to be counted as unemployed. That’s one way to improve the unemployment numbers – just make 1.2 million unemployed people vanish from the statistical database.

Only in the world according to a Marxist like Barack Obama could it be a good thing when our labor participation rate hits a 30-year low. ObaMao is most certainly quite comfortable with the idea of fewer people working and more people depending on the government to survive.

ObaMao was raised and nurtured by people, including his mother and father, who completely despised capitalism. In his college years, by his own admission, he gravitated toward student groups and professors who likewise held capitalism in great disregard; and his close associations with anti-capitalists continued right up to his unpacking his bags on the second floor of the White House. There has never been an economic system that has brought more people from poverty to plenty than capitalism, and our "ruler" (his own words) is dedicated to the destruction of that economic model.

Charles Krauthammer noted that “the Obama administration promised that the unemployment rate today would be approximately 5.8 percent – not 8.3 percent — if the $800 billion stimulus package were passed.”

Where is the ObamaMedia to report THAT little goodie? Or how about this one: “Even if 250,000 jobs were created every month from now to the election, the unemployment rate will still hover near 8 percent.” Remember that no modern president has been re-elected with an unemployment rate above 7.2%.

Will Obama be the exception? You better hope not. But what if he is … what if Obama is the first modern president to be re-elected with an unemployment rate near 8%? What does this say about the state of our Republic? It’s validation for years of government indoctrination in our failing government school system. Students are taught that government is always the solution. Couple this with a growing entitlement society and a celebrity worship culture and you start to get a better idea of how someone like Barack Obama, a charismatic Marxist, could end up in the White House and then perhaps stay there for two terms.

CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson — who was one of the first reporters on the Solyndra trail — featured 11 other DoE loan recipients that either have or probably will take a Solyndra-style plunge and suck down $6.5 billion of taxpayer loans with them.

Here's an excellent example of Obama's cronies rubbing our faces in his excrement: Bankrupt Solyndra, billionaire George Kaiser. In the wake of the half-billion-dollar Solyndra stimulus bust, company officials revealed plans to hand out hefty bonuses totaling $500,000. Months before the politically connected solar energy manufacturer went belly up, it was doling out bonus payments of between $40,000 and $60,000 to several executives. I guess excellent work like that deserves bonuses from us poor taxpayer slobs.

HOW TO FIND THE MISSING $$$ FROM MF GLOBAL

Today's Wall Street Journal had this story:

Money From MF Global Feared Gone

Nearly three months after MF Global Holdings Ltd. collapsed, officials hunting for an estimated $1.2 billion in missing customer money increasingly believe that much of it might never be recovered, according to people familiar with the investigation.

As the sprawling probe that includes regulators, criminal and congressional investigators, and court-appointed trustees grinds on, the findings so far suggest that a "significant amount" of the money could have "vaporized" as a result of chaotic trading at MF Global during the week before the company's Oct. 31 bankruptcy filing, said a person close to the investigation.

My suggestion would be for investigators to look for mysterious large deposits in the DNC Campaign Accounts, and in the campaign accounts of each Democrat congressman with special focus on those on the House and Senate Banking and Finance Committees.

COSTELLO: That would be frightening.

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means they're two ways to bring down the unemployment number?

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?

I guess I really owe Obummer an apology. The president is an extremely busy man and has much to do to get us back on track. Let's see, he has to play a lot of golf, take several lavish vacations every year, file lawsuits against our states, run guns to Mexican drug cartels, and figure out a way to bypass congress and the will of the people on every issue. Not to mention making basket ball brackets, entertaining celebs and throwing crazy Hollywood style Halloween bashes. How in the heck is he supposed to deal with a pesky Keystone pipeline? Try to put yourself in his shoes for a change if you think its so easy.

Oh, oh...but wait...I just heard that Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas) took aim Wednesday at the State Department official dispatched to Congress to explain why President Obama shelved the Keystone XL pipeline – telling her that the U.S. had “fought and won World War II” in less time than the administration had spent weighing the Canada-U.S. pipeline deal.

WTF! COULD THAT BE TRUE?

“Well, we fought and won World War II in less time than it’s taken so far to evaluate this project,” Barton said. “I mean, with all due respect, it is an insult to the American people to say that you need more time."

“There are 10 other agencies that have reviewed this project and – correct me if I’m wrong, but my understanding is that the Corps of Engineers approved it, the Department of Agriculture approved it, the Department of Interior approved it, the Department of Transportation approved it, the Environmental Protection Agency – believe it or not – approved it, the Defense Department approved it; the Justice Department approved it, the Homeland Security Department approved it and the Department of Commerce approved it. Only the State Department, which I believe, by law is required to look at the International implications," he said.

I guess ObaMao feels that we don't need the 200,000 jobs this project would create. After all, it's not like they would be government jobs!

OBAMA AND THE SENATE DEMS FAIL US AGAIN BY REFUSING TO PASS A BUDGET

It has officially been 1000 days since the Senate has passed a budget. Arguably one of the most important functions the Senate has to perform every year .. and they have failed to do this for 1000 days. And not coincidentally, the Senate has been controlled by Democrats for 1000 out of those 1000 days. At one point early last year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said that it would be “foolish” for the Senate to consider a budget.

But Harry, It's required by the U.S. Constitution!

The following facts are from the Heritage Foundation. Do they seem so “foolish” to you?

The last time the Senate passed a budget was on April 29, 2009.
Since that date, the federal government has spent $9.4 trillion, adding $4.1 trillion in debt.
As of January 20, the outstanding public debt stands at $15,240,174,635,409.
Interest payments on the debt are now more than $200 billion per year.
President Obama proposed a FY2012 budget last year, and the Senate voted it down 97–0. (And that budget was no prize—according to the Congressional Budget Office, that proposal never had an annual deficit of less than $748 billion, would double the national debt in 10 years and would see annual interest payments approach $1 trillion per year.)
The Senate rejected House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan’s (R–WI) budget by 57–40 in May 2011, with no Democrats voting for it.
In FY2011, Washington spent $3.6 trillion. Compare that to the last time the budget was balanced in 2001, when Washington spent $1.8 trillion ($2.1 trillion when you adjust for inflation).
Entitlement spending will more than double by 2050. That includes spending on Medicare, Medicaid and the Obamacare subsidy program, and Social Security. Total spending on federal health care programs will triple.
By 2050, the national debt is set to hit 344 percent of Gross Domestic Product.
Taxes paid per household have risen dramatically, hitting $18,400 in 2010 (compared with $11,295 in 1965). If the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts expire and more middle-class Americans are required to pay the alternative minimum tax (AMT), taxes will reach unprecedented levels.
Federal spending per household is skyrocketing. Since 1965, spending per household has grown by nearly 162 percent, from $11,431 in 1965 to $29,401 in 2010. From 2010 to 2021, it is projected to rise to $35,773, a 22 percent increase.

Adding insult to injury, ObaMao told us that he isn’t even going to bother submitting his budget on time. The law requires him to submit his budget by the first Monday in February. Instead he just decided that he would do it on his own timetable … as he did in 2009 and 2011 … and submit it later.

Remember … the only use he could really have for the Constitution would be facilitated if they just printed it on softer paper on six-inch rolls.

Interesting commentary from Neal Boortz

Today is January 20^th. One year from today there will be an inaugural ceremony in Washington. After that ceremony is over the National Mall in front of the Capitol will either be full of trash, or it won’t. If the trash is there you will know that Barack Obama has embarked on his second term. If the people take their trash with them, or actually put it into receptacles, you will know that a U-Haul is waiting to take Obama’s stuff back to Chicago … or Hawaii … or Indonesia … or wherever. If Chicago is the destination perhaps Barack and Michelle will just move in with Bill and Bernadine until their stuff gets there.

If the Obamas aren’t packing up their stuff one year from now, don’t feel sorry for the moving industry. They will probably be better off for it, at least in the short term. It won’t be a huge wave at first, but the reelection of Barack Obama will be the signal to American business that things are going to get no better – and will soon get worse. The age of a dynamic free market economy will be on the way out and the era of a politically controlled command economy will be on the way in. No longer will the private sector and consumers set the course of manufacturers. Those decisions will simply be too important to be left up to simple, uninformed consumers voting with their dollars in the private marketplace. Politicians who have the benefit of studies and government research will be making those decisions. We see how well that worked with the Chevy Volt … just stand by for more.

And there’s one topic at the top of the political wish list for Central Florida’s tourism industry: Visa reform. The tourism industry has been pushing Congress and Obama to make it easier for visitors from emerging nations such as Brazil, India and China to come to the U.S. as tourists.

In case anyone needs reminding, it was the relentless drive of the tourism industry and kowtowing Clinton State Department bureaucrats that led to the Visa Express program — which relaxed visa policies, eliminated in-person consulate interviews, and opened the door to the 9/11 hijackers.

Brazil, may I remind you, is just the latest base for al Qaeda and other Islamic jihadi groups; it “does not recognize Hezbollah or Hamas as terrorist groups and disbanded the Federal Police’s anti-terrorism service in 2009.”

U.S. debt is now equal to economy

WASHINGTON – The soaring national debt has reached a symbolic tipping point: It's now as big as the entire U.S. economy.

The amount of money the federal government owes to its creditors, combined with IOUs to government retirement and other programs, now tops $15.23 trillion.

That's roughly equal to the value of all goods and services the U.S. economy produces in one year: $15.17 trillion as of September, the latest estimate. Private projections show the economy likely grew to about $15.3 trillion by December — a level the debt is likely to surpass this month.

"The 100% mark means that your entire debt is as big as everything you're producing in your country," says Steve Bell of the Bipartisan Policy Center, which has proposed cutting nearly $6 trillion in red ink over 10 years. "Clearly, that can't continue."

Long-term projections suggest the debt will continue to grow faster than the economy, which would have to expand by at least 6% a year to keep pace.

President Obama's 2012 budget shows the debt soaring past $26 trillion a decade from now. Last summer's deficit reduction deal could reduce that to $24 trillion.

Many economists, such as the Brookings Institution's William Gale, say a better measure of the nation's debt is how much the government owes creditors, not counting $4.7 trillion owed to future Social Security recipients and other government beneficiaries. By that measure, the debt is roughly a third less: $10.5 trillion, or nearly 70% the size of the economy.

That is still high by historic standards. The total national debt topped the size of the economy for three years during and after World War II. It dropped to 32.5% of the economy by 1981, then began a steady climb under President Reagan, doubling over the next 12 years. The combination of recession and stimulus spending caused it to soar again under Obama.

Among advanced economies, only Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan and Portugal have debts larger than their economies. Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Italy are at the root of the European debt crisis. The first three needed bailouts from European central banks; Italy's books are monitored by the International Monetary Fund.

The White House and Congress agreed in August to cut about $1 trillion from federal agencies over 10 years. An additional $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts looms beginning next year if lawmakers can't agree on a better way to do it.

Economist Mark Zandi of Moody's Analytics says reaching the 100% mark shows "the grave need to address our long-term fiscal problems."

Obama to promote insourcing of jobs

President Barack Obama is highlighting companies that have returned jobs to the U.S. and he says that's one more way of putting people back to work.

The White House plans a forum Wednesday, called "Insourcing American Jobs," that will bring together business leaders who shifted work back home. The president said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address that the event will discuss ways business leaders can return more jobs to the country.

"We're heading in the right direction. And we're not going to let up," Obama said on the heels of the government reporting Friday that the unemployment rate fell to 8.5 percent in December.

Obama noted that the jobs report showed the economy added more than 200,000 private sector jobs last month and that more than 3 million private sector jobs had been added during the past 22 months. He said the nation was "starting 2012 with manufacturing on the rise and the American auto industry on the mend."

The president said the U.S. couldn't return "to the days when the financial system was stacking the deck against ordinary Americans," citing his decision to install former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray as the director of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau while the Senate was on break, circumventing Republican opposition to the appointment.

Obama said his "New Year's resolution" to all Americans was to "keep doing whatever it takes to move this economy forward and to make sure that middle-class families regain the security they've lost over the past decade."

New York Rep. Nan Hayworth, delivering the GOP address, said the jobs report showed the difficulty that many Americans face in finding work. Hayworth said the unemployment rate has remained above 8 percent for 35 straight months, "the longest such stretch since the Great Depression."

"Leaders in Washington should have no higher priority this year than getting our economy back to creating jobs," Hayworth said.

The New York congresswoman said House Republicans would promote small business and reduce government regulation.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budget. Obama was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009. Let's remember what the deficits looked like during that period:

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is "I inherited a deficit that I voted for, And then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th."

Alexandra Pelosi later told BigGovernment that she said “greatness” and not “wilderness.” In any case, Pelosi’s office quickly issued a denial:

“This may be wishful thinking on the part of a right-wing blog, but it is totally untrue,” Elshami said. “When the day comes and Leader Pelosi’s work is done, she won’t be announcing it there.”

Looking back to the 2008 campaign of sugar plums and raining gum drops if you know who is elected, one might get a little sentimental about the donkey takeover of yesteryear, but not me. I feel less than vindicated and can only take solace in that Obama, by all accounts, is the worst President of all time.

We knew he would be....and by we, I mean me...but I don't want to be a completely stuck up know it all. But a lot of you voted for the Obama machine, including a lot of Republicans. You really can't blame the poor bug eyed fish. I mean, it was the plastic stinking cheese on the hook that made them swim towards the light and then bite the fake food only to get bloodied by the hook.

Truth is, Obama never should have been President, period. I guess I could go back and regurgitate Barry's record of do nothing and voting for nothing while he was a junior Senator for a year (who wrote a shitty book about his dead beat dad). Or how he was a sorry community organizer who organized bingo games for old people. Or how he was some 'dingle-dorf' who went to HAAAHRVARD and pretended to be poor, but smart, and sold dirt just to survive. I guess he was a state senator in the corrupt and evil state of Illinois and a grand daddy political mobster in the Chicago crime...errrrr...political scene.

He played the game well, but in the end you can't fake reality. The truth will always come out. The truth will always prevail. The truth will always show itself....eventually. The ugly head of not handling it has poked up out of the ground only to say hello to us Americans. We have a President who NEVER should have been....President.

As I spent my last few days in New York City I saw the streets lined with shoppers at all hours of the day. A few weeks ago I saw people fighting over waffle makers and toasters. It seems like people are more focused on “me” and “mine” rather than on the true meaning of the season.

Whether or not you believe there is a “War on Christmas”, you can’t deny that the real meaning of December 25th is being forgotten. Atheist billboards are replacing nativity scenes and our President is lighting a Menorah as just an excuse for a “good party”. I’m sorry, but if you’re lighting a candle just because it's that time of year then you are missing the point – that miracles can happen and that God is here to light the way in the darkness.

If you are celebrating next to a “Holiday Tree” and all you care about is shopping and presents then you are missing the transformative nature of Christmas. It’s an idea that is repeated in every story this time of year from A Christmas Carol to Miracle on 34th Street – the idea that we can believe in powers greater than ourselves and we can be fundamentally transformed. The themes of redemption, selflessness and transformation go all the way back to The Bible with the birth of a baby in a manger in Bethlehem.

With our obsession over “stuff” we are missing out on the good things in life – the gifts that don’t need to be wrapped. It’s not about waffle makers or toasters, the true power and meaning of Christmas is about doing the right thing and helping each other. And it’s not supposed to be contained to a two-week season and then forgotten. We are supposed to take these gifts with us throughout the whole year.

I hope you spend the next few days with your family and friends and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas. I hope you reach out to others in need and offer a helping hand, and I hope you get to celebrate the season free from oppression, judgment, or “Holiday Trees”. And finally, I hope you find the transformative power of this miraculous season.

A Georgia Tech assistant music professor got $760,000 so he could jam with “world renowned musicians” to “create satisfying works of art.”
About a half-million dollars to give smartphones to people trying to quit smoking so they could “contact their quitting support groups by text message or phone calls to prevent relapses.”
Buses in Winter Haven, Florida that average two riders per hour got $2.4 million so that the two riders per hour would have brand new busses to ride on.
$712,000 spent on a project by researchers at Northwestern University to develop “machine-generated humor.”
Almost $300,000 to study how Yoga might reduce menopausal hot flashes.
$500,000 to put microchips in recycling bins to check up on the recycling efforts of senior citizens.
$250,000 for bug storage for an insect museum at North Carolina State University that gets 44 visitors a year. That’s less than one visitor per week for those of you who went to government schools.
$174,000 to study whether retirement hurts or helps marriages.

I could list more .. but I'm sure you get the idea now. The stimulus plan was so absurd … did such a pitiful job of actually creating jobs … that the Obama administration had to go from “jobs created” to “jobs created or saved.” Now they’re at “jobs affected.” And believe it or not --- Democrats are now saying that the stimulus should have been bigger.

In a 2008 campaign speech, the Liar-in-Chief proclaimed: “I'll make our government open and transparent so that anyone can ensure that our business is the people's business. No more secrecy. That is a commitment that I make to you as president.”

Like many things with this friggin' liar, his actions are not fulfilling his promises. The latest bit of transparency news has to do with Operation Fast and Furious because it looks like basic details is about all anyone can expect to get, thanks to the Obama administration now sealing court records of the details of the death of this U.S. Border patrol agent. So the most transparent administration in history has locked up the information and thrown away the key, leaving the public and the media wondering exactly what role the Obama administration played in the death of this Border patrol agent.

But this shouldn’t come as a shock, based on the history of the Obama administration thus far. Did you know that the federal government’s 35 largest agencies actually decreased the number of fulfilled FOIA requests by more than 12,400? Also: “The Obama administration censored 194 pages of internal e-mails about its Open Government Directive,” according to the Associated Press.

Within the first month of Obama’s administration, he was already granting waivers for his lobbyist ban. The administration, according to insiders, has developed a reputation for “ruthlessly prosecuting whistleblowers.”

And remember the Black Panther voter intimidation case? The Obama administration illegally refused to comply with subpoenas and FOIA requests for information about why the case was dismissed by the Justice Department.

Those are just some of the many examples to show how Barack Obama is full of sh*t. He can campaign on transparency and then run the least transparent government, perhaps, in modern history. Who knows … when it is all said and done. He can run a campaign based on not being a tax and spend liberal, but he can spend at record-shattering levels. Look, actions speak louder than words. Too bad that most of the American people don’t have time to follow up on his actions and simply rely on his words as their source of information. Video of Joe Biden recently surfaced in which the Vice President is singling out former NJ Governor Jon Corzine as a key contributor to the Obama fiscal policies we are seeing now. That would explain a lot, considering Corzine's bankrupt company MF Global can't seem to find $1.2 billion of investor money - it just vanished with nothing to show for it.

That's perfectly consistent with how the current administration operates!

I'm 76. Except for brief period in the 50's when I was doing my National Service, I've worked hard since I was 17. Except for some some serious health challenges, I put in 50-hour weeks, and didn't call in sick in nearly 40 years. I made a reasonable salary, but I didn't inherit my job or my income, and I worked to get where I am. Given the economy, it looks as though retirement was a bad idea, and I'm tired. Very tired.
I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it.
    I'm tired of being told that Islam is a "Religion of Peace," when every day I can read dozens of stories of Muslim men killing their sisters, wives and daughters for their family "honour"; of Muslims rioting over some slight offense; of Muslims murdering Christian and Jews because they aren't "believers"; of Muslims burning schools for girls; of Muslims stoning teenage rape victims to death for "adultery"; of Muslims mutilating the genitals of little girls; all in the name of Allah, because the Qur'an and Shari'a law tells them to.
    I'm tired of being told that out of "tolerance for other cultures" we must let Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries use our oil money to fund mosques and mandrassa Islamic schools to preach hate in Australia, New Zealand, UK, America and Canada, while no one from these countries are allowed to fund a church, synagogue or religious school in Saudi Arabia or any other Arab country to teach love and tolerance..
I'm tired of being told I must lower my living standard to fight global warming, which no one is allowed to debate.
I'm tired of being told that drug addicts have a disease, and I must help support and treat them, and pay for the damage they do. Did a giant germ rush out of a dark alley, grab them, and stuff white powder up their noses or stick a needle in their arm while they tried to fight it off?
I'm tired of hearing wealthy athletes, entertainers and politicians of all parties talking about innocent mistakes, stupid mistakes or youthful mistakes, when we all know they think their only mistake was getting caught. I'm tired of people with a sense of entitlement, rich or poor.
I'm really tired of people who don't take responsibility for their lives and actions. I'm tired of hearing them blame the government, or discrimination or big-whatever for their problems.
I'm also tired and fed up with seeing young men and women in their teens and early 20's bedeck them selves in tattoos and face studs, thereby making themselves un-employable and claiming money from the Government. Yes, I'm damn tired. But I'm also glad to be 76.. Because, mostly, I'm not going to have to see the world these people are making. I'm just sorry for my granddaughter and her children.   Thank God I'm on the way out and not on the way in.

The Scandal No One is Talking About

If you've been following the news this week, you'd get the impression that America is a scandal-plagued nation. Scandals to the right of us, scandals to the left of us.

Take your pick. There’s the media assault on GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain, the deadly "Fast and Furious" federal gun-running case, the Solyndra solar loan fiasco, the collapse of MF Global, led by former Democratic N.J. Gov. Jon Corzine and, of course, the deeply disturbing allegations of child sexual abuse at Penn State.

But the real scandal isn’t any one of those. It’s how journalists pick and choose which controversies to play up and which to play down. They are so inconsistent, you’d think they studied ethics at Penn State under Joe Paterno. Heck, maybe he studied under them.

Take the allegations against Cain. We are watching ABC’s George Stephanopoulos attack Herman Cain on how he deals with women. This is the same George Stephanopoulos who worked for admitted draft dodger, accused rapist, acknowledged lecher, adulterer, perjuror, disbarred lawyer, impeached former president, Bill Clinton and did his best to undermine attacks against him. Remember, Clinton was charged with a variety of women-unfriendly incidents including rape. Yes, rape. Not that the networks made a big deal of it at the time.

Here’s Stephanopoulos, on page 267 of his autobiography “All Too Human,” "Most important, I wanted to keep reports of Paula [Jones'] press conference off television ... It wasn't a hard sell.” His book goes on to say how he tried to discredit her. Yes, this openly Democratic operative is a “newsman” now.

Don’t believe it for a second. The different between “journalist” and Democratic Party operative is often non-existent.

It shows in everything they do. We aren’t even two weeks into CainFest 2011 and the broadcast networks have done 117 stories on him. One-hundred and seventeen? That’s more than a small war would get.

Actually, it’s 58 times more than a small war has gotten. Obama ordered troops into Uganda in October, before the Cain allegations came out. CBS and NBC have each mentioned it once since then. ABC hasn’t mentioned it at all. But the networks don’t care about American soldiers at risk. They are more concerned that Obama’s presidency is at risk.

That’s the only explanation for how they’ve covered, or not covered, the "Fast and Furious" scandal. You’ve had to look hard to find consistent coverage of this corrupt government program that cost the life of at least one law enforcement officer. Allegedly the goal was to track U.S. guns to drug cartels and arrest gun runners.

But the program was poorly run and it cost the life of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. A good leader would take responsibility for that. A moral leader would have called the family to talk to them or meet with them in person. Attorney General Eric Holder didn’t do either. All he did do was lie to Congress about it.

According to Holder, the program was furiously “flawed in its concept and flawed in its execution.” That skips any blame for when he told Congress he had heard of the program only weeks before. Now we know that’s just not true. In any other city than Washington, D.C., what Holder did was a boldfaced lie.

Not that you’d know it from most network news. While CBS’s Sharyl Attkisson has shown her top-flight skills as a journalist, and been abused by the Obama administration for it, her competing networks have abandoned their responsibility to their viewers. Both NBC and ABC skipped the House Republican roasting Holder received on Capitol Hill.

It’s been much the same in the Solyndra scandal. There only ABC has shown any semblance of journalistic skill covering Obama’s failed green program. It’s a $500-million scandal involving an Obama fundraiser, a solar panel company that had a dot.com era idea on how to make a profit (none) and it’s gotten nowhere near the media coverage a Republican scandal might have gotten. (Just ask Herman Cain.)

A recent Media Research Center analysis found “just 15 stories mentioning the Solyndra scandal since its August 31 bankruptcy filing.” For those who find math difficult – like many journalists – that’s about one eighth of the stories the Cain controversy has gotten.

But hey, Solyndra wasn’t run by a former governor considered as a possible Treasury Secretary and hailed by news outlets as an economic expert. That would be a real scandal. Or not, if he had the infamous “D” after his name.

The former governor is Jon Corzine, who has the reverse Midas touch. He’s run Goldman Sachs, New Jersey and, most recently, MF Global, which just collapsed amidst a $2-billion bankruptcy. MF Global fell apart in what CNBC's Andrew Ross Sorkin called a “mini Ponzi scheme.” But not one story on ABC, CBS or NBC has mentioned that Corzine is a Democrat, was considered an Obama adviser and possible pick for a top spot in his administration.

Every time there’s a controversial story, media types are making these choices. They love the Occupy Wall Street crowd, so they play up the good from those protests, despite rapes, vandalism, arson, assaults on police and more. But they hate the Tea Parties, so everything they do is somehow nefarious.

It’s time the media covered their own scandals. They have plenty.

OBAMA'S LIES, FAILURES AND IMPACT ON YOUR KIDS' FUTURES

This will illustrate how badly Obama has screwed things up with his Keynesian economic policies. In a speech delivered to a labor union convention in September of 2009, Barack Obama said the following:

“All in all, many middle-class families will see their incomes go up by about $3,000 because of the Recovery Act, helping them get back much of what they've lost due to this recession.”

The Recovery Act? That was Obama’s $850 billion dollar stimulus job that failed to stimulate. We were told it would create jobs. Now, two years later, the Obama junta can only weakly mew that it “saved” jobs …. We’re so impressed. So, two years and $800+ billion later, how did it REALLY turn out?

According to a Sentier report using Census data, the median American household income has actually fallen during the “recovery.” “Real income fell by 3.2 percent during the recession. And during the recovery it went down by 6.7 percent.” So “income has declined twice as much in the recovery as in the recession itself.”

Oops. Obama says that the stimulus act is going to raise middle class incomes by about $3,000 per household --- and those incomes have fallen by 6.7%. Who’s fault is this? Need you ask? It’s Bush’s fault, of course!

Now just in case you’re one of those Americans who haven’t bought into this “Bush’s fault” horse crap, take a look at some of Obama’s initiatives and see if we can start to form an understanding as to just why government spending and increased regulation hasn’t been the “stimulus” he promised:

Stimulus – Failed

Cash for Clunkers – Failed

Mortgage Relief – Failed

ObamaCare – Failed

Dodd-Frank – Failed

And on top of this record spending and increased regulation he wants to add … tax increases?

Go ahead folks. Support this incompetent leftist in his bid for reelection. Incompetent? Have you ever taken a look at his record as a community organizer in Chicago? We haven’t found a record of one single community organizing initiative championed or led by Barack Obama in Chicago that showed any lasting positive results. He was as much of a failure there as he is as our president.

Support Obama – then vote for him – and tell your children how you played such a huge role in destroying any chance they may have had for a lifestyle any better than the one they’re experiencing now.

Here is a recent letter sent to constituents in Florida from Obama puppet, Senator Bill Nelson.

"Dear Friends,

The right to vote is, and always has been, at the foundation of our democracy. But this fundamental right is under serious attack right now, in Florida and more than a dozen other states. Many believe a handful of super-rich conservative activists are behind an orchestrated effort to keep millions of seniors, younger voters and minorities from casting ballots next year.

Whether or not that’s true, a civics teacher at New Smyrna Beach High School in Florida was on the receiving end of just such an attack last month. The teacher, Jill Cicciarelli, ran afoul of Florida’s new election law while helping some of her students pre-register to vote.

I have met with her and some of her students, and it’s no surprise they’re not happy with the state’s new voting law. Neither is their local supervisor of elections, who under the law was required to report them to state authorities. Volusia County Supervisor of Elections Ann McFall says parts of the law are egregious and unenforceable.

So, it’s not just me who thinks this law is aimed at suppressing the vote. Look at what informed editorial writers have also had to say: The Orlando Sentinel said the new law “amounts to… ripping apart election laws” and “weakening democracy.” The Tampa Tribune said this bill “isn't fooling anybody. It's not about clean elections.” And Florida Today called it an “assault on the most cherished of American rights.”

In a nutshell, the Florida law reduces the number of days for early voting from 14 to eight and exposes people who register others to vote to harsh penalties even for innocent mistakes. That’s why the widely respected League of Women Voters has abandoned its voter registration drives in Florida after 72 years.

I wrote Gov. Rick Scott a letter last month asking him to support a revamping or repeal of the law. I also wrote U.S. Sen. Richard Durbin, who chairs the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, to ask that we conduct a congressional investigation to see if Florida’s law was part of a plan that led to similar voting law changes in more than a dozen other states this year. And I have asked the Justice Department to look into who’s behind these changes."

Why don't you do Floridians, and the country, a great patriotic favor and retire now instead of waiting until next year to get booted out. And while you were writing fellow Obama crony, Dick Durbin, did you remember to ask him about producing documents to help investigate the Solyndra Scandal? The Fast and Furious scandal? How about the millions in bonuses being paid to FNMA and Freddie Mac while those agencies continue to lose billions...what are you doing about that? Why don't you tell us your opinions on Eric Holder? Why are you so silent about that corrupt AG?

Jobs Created by the Stroke of a Pen

When it comes to jobs, it all comes down to this: For years, we all thought it was small business that was the heart and soul of the U.S. economy.

Most people understood that it was the private sector that created the real jobs – sustainable jobs that were the building blocks for people’s lives, and consequently, the foundation for our country’s solid future.

Then, along comes Barack Obama, who firmly, and I am ardently convinced, believes the public sector is the real job creator.

Everything from shovel ready to green energy has been tried by this administration in order to change the path of rising unemployment, to no avail.

Now, however, the truth can be told.

The real job creator is neither the public nor the private sector.

Rather, the real job creator is a single bean-counter who works in a small room with a green eyeshade pulled over his head at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).

He’s the person who overlays the Birth/Death (B/D) statistics on all monthly jobs reports. Most people think the B/D is simply a measurement of how many workers lived or died during the month.

In reality, the B/D is the approximate number of new businesses created with new employees netted against the businesses that closed and the people who lost their jobs. This statistic is overlaid against the actual number of workers either hired or fired. During prior administrations, this B/D number was plus-or-minus a few thousand.

The Obama administration has taken the B/D to an entirely new art form, with the plus-or-minus becoming hundreds of thousands.

It seems they thought nobody would notice, and guess what?

They were right.

The latest monthly jobs report shows 80,000 new jobs created.

The Birth/Death overlay was plus 103,000, which means the country actually lost 23,000 jobs.

But have no fear, with a phantom jobs report nobody really noticed, least of all the mainstream media.

Thus, when books are written about this chapter in American history, recognition for job creation will not be given to the small or large business entrepreneurs, nor the President or his political cronies.

Rather, all the praise will be given to that diligent, ever-present bureaucrat, who, with a wave of his magic pencil created 42% of all jobs reported in 2011.

Hallelujah!

Thank goodness for the BLS and the Birth/Death model.

It may not be real, but it sure looks good on paper and it certainly sounds great on the nightly news.

The Tonopah Solar company in Harry Reid's Nevada is getting a $737 million loan from Obama's DOE.

The project will produce a 110 megawatt power system and employ 45 permanent workers.

That's costing us just $16 million per job.

One of the investment partners in this endeavor is Pacific Corporate Group (PCG).

The PCG executive director is Ron Pelosi who is the brother to Nancy's husband.

Here is VP A-hole Biden last week on his hysterical claims that rape and murder would increase if Congress didn’t ram through the half-trillion-dollar White House jobs bill. He points out his top 12 reasons.

Last fall, before the midterm shellacking, Vice President Joe Biden admonished rank-and-file Democratic voters to “stop whining.” Uncle Tough Guy should practice what he screeches. The 2012 campaign has barely begun, but Biden’s thin skin makes a spring roll wrapper look impenetrable.

Biden’s office is now calling for an official investigation of a young editor who dared to question His Highness. Jason Mattera of the conservative-leaning Human Events magazine confronted the veep last week on his hysterical claims that rape and murder would increase if Congress didn’t ram through the half-trillion-dollar White House jobs bill. The testy exchange between the audacious journalist and the temper-challenged Beltway pol took place in a Senate hallway:

Mattera: Do you regret using a rape reference to describe Republican opposition to the president’s bill?
Biden: I didn’t use it. No, no, no, what I said, let’s get it straight, guys. Don’t screw around with me. Let’s get it straight. Listen to me. I said rape was up, three times, in Flint (Michigan). They’re the numbers, go look at the numbers. Murder’s up, rape is up, burglary’s up, that’s exactly what I said.

Mattera: And if Republicans don’t pass this bill, then rape will continue to rise?
Biden: Murder will continue to rise, rape will continue to rise, all crimes will continue to rise.
Never mind that the statistics in Flint actually show no correlation between crime rates and the number of police officers in the city. It’s never about the facts. It’s about the shameless demonization of Biden’s and Obama’s political opponents — and those in the press who would dare question their doom-and-gloom narratives.

After jabbing his finger in Mattera’s face, Biden stalked off, and one of his rattled press aide protectors yelped: “Who are you with?” Like playground tattletales who just got smacked in the face after cheating at tetherball, Team Biden then reported Mattera’s transgressions to the Senate press gallery and the standing committee of correspondents. The Hill newspaper reported on Tuesday that “the matter is under review.”

Biden’s crude response to Mattera’s challenge — “Don’t screw around with me” — is par for the Beltway Bubble Boy’s course. This entitled blowhard has long sought to bully reporters and ordinary citizens who question Bidenrhhea of the mouth.

One narrative that has emerged from the “Occupy Wall Street” protests is one, promoted by the protesters themselves, which has the movement being the target of those who want to silence them. Frankly, I think it would be a mistake to want to silence the “occupiers.”

He compared the current Congress to the states in rebellion during the Civil War. What a Great Idea....Uninsured Cars Off The Road

Recently, the City of Dallas, Texas, passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance, the car is towed.

To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released. This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars.

Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. 80% plus of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released, they have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine, and $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

Accident rates are going down and... Dallas' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality.

Wonder how the ACLU or the Justice Department will get around this one. Just brings tears to my eyes.

Is this idea too simple for other communities to keep their streets safer and to identify illegals???

In 2008, Obama raked in millions upon millions in campaign cash from Wall Street, and Nancy Pelosi’s husband made his bones as an investment banker.

History won’t record this as the largest protest ever, but it might take the prize for the most hypocritical.

Wait, nevermind — that was in reference to the Tea Parties in 2009.

WHY I THINK HERMAN CAIN WOULD BE GREAT FOR OUR COUNTRY

Herman Cain and his wife are honest, hard-working, honorable Americans who would not dream of lying or deceiving the American people period.

REASONS TO LIKE AND SUPPORT HERMAN CAIN:
1. He Has No Sense of Entitlement
Cain wasn’t born into a life of privilege. Yet he bore no resentment because of it. He believed in the American Dream yet understood he had to work hard for it.

2. He Worked at Burger King
Cain was assigned to manage some of the least successful Burger King restaurants in the country and turned them into the most profitable. To do this he improved service and kept customers satisfied. It would be a remarkable if Cain could do for the federal government what he did for Burger King.

3. He Has Never Held Elected Office
I am not suggesting there isn’t any honor in public service. Unfortunately, many elected officials (Democrats and Republicans alike) use their office in service of themselves rather than the people who elect them. Public officials are preoccupied with re-election and such a preoccupation doesn’t lend itself towards innovation because innovation is risky and risk can alienate a public official’s donors.

4. He Is a Mathematician
President Obama tells us that passing his jobs bill is “simple math.” Well, Cain majored in math at Morehouse University. He is in the rare position of being able to tell President Obama, “I am a trained mathematician. I have looked at your numbers and can tell you that they don’t add up.”

5. He Was a CEO
Hollywood often casts businessmen as villains and President Obama has spent a great deal of his Presidency vilifying CEOs (unless, of course, you happen to be the CEO of a company that got $500 million plus to manufacture expensive solar panels nobody wanted.) Cain was a successful CEO. But he wasn’t plucked from central casting. He earned his way to the top. Cain could tell President Obama a thing or two about what CEOs really do.

6. He Is The Adult in the Room
Cain is actually only fifteen years older than President Obama. But he strikes such a mature image that standing next to Obama he could be mistaken for his father. In an Obama-Cain debate, President Obama would come off like a petulant son who thinks he knows everything while Cain would tell Obama that he has a lot of growing up to do.

7. He Would Make Liberal Charges of Racism Look Really, Really Stupid
Actress Janeane Garofalo infamously said that the Tea Party was “about hating a black man in the White House” and was “racism straight up.” Yet Cain would end up as one of the most popular figures in the Tea Party movement.

8. The Content of His Character
Herman Cain has demonstrated that he is a man who carries himself with a sense of humor, dignity, modesty, responsibility and gratitude towards the country that allowed him an opportunity to succeed.

Check out the cajones on this guy, Dick Durbin.

First he crafts new federal regulations to cap the amount banks can charge retailers for swipe fees for processing debit cards.

Then the banks warn that this regulation will cost them millions, maybe even billions. And because businesses are in business to … make money … they will not just sit back and take it. This will force them to pass on the costs to the consumer.

Dick Durbin includes his amendment in the Dodd-Frank financial reform bill and it passes and becomes the law of the land.

Banks, such as Bank of America, announce that they will now start charging customers a fee for using their debit cards, thanks to Durbin’s financial regulations.

Then Dick Durbin gets up on the floor of the Senate and says, “Bank of America customers, vote with your feet … Get the heck out of that bank. Find yourself a bank or credit union that won’t gouge you for $5 a month and still will give you a debit card that you can use every single day.” He adds, “What Bank of America has done is an outrage.”

An outrage? This is exactly what the industry warned about all along! What’s outrageous is the size of this guy’s gonads .. that he can can impose these regulations and then blame the banks when they are forced to comply.

I know you are sick of these figures by now. I know I am. But the Libtard Democrats who get their twisted economic facts from Media Matters, MoveOn.org, The Daily Kos, fat blowhard hypocrite Michael Moore, MSNBC, etc, etc. keep sending me pretty, distorted charts, graphs and tables explaining how the rich aren't paying their fair share and how the great (in his own egocentric mind) Liar-in-Chief is doing such a great job in running (or ruining?) this country, that I am compelled to take the time to spell it out again for their benefit. So here goes:

The top 1% of taxpayers earn about 20% of the income but pay about 38% of all revenues. GOT THAT? For the top 10% of taxpayers, they pay around 68% of all federal income taxes. GOT THAT? The bottom 47% of eligible taxpayers pay nothing. GOT THAT! I'll repeat...NOTHING!

Now let’s look back into the history books and see exactly how much those evil rich people have paid in taxes over the years. These numbers come from Stephen Moore, a senior economics writer for the WSJ editorial board and a policy analyst for the Cato Institute and the Heritage Foundation. He says ..

"In the early 1960s, the highest marginal income tax rate was a stunning 91 percent. That top rate fell to 70 percent after the Kennedy-Johnson tax cuts and remained there until 1981. Then Ronald Reagan slashed it to 50 percent and ultimately to 28 percent after the 1986 Tax Reform Act. Although the federal tax rate fell by more than half, total tax receipts in the 1980s doubled from $517 billion in 1981 to $1,030 billion in 1990. The top tax rate rose slightly under George H. W. Bush and then moved to 39.6 percent under Bill Clinton. But under George W. Bush it fell again to 35 percent. So what’s striking is that, even as tax rates have fallen by half over the past quarter-century, taxes paid by the wealthy have increased. Lower tax rates have made the tax system more progressive, not less so. In 1980, for example, the top 5 percent of income earners paid only 37 percent of all income taxes. Today, the top 1 percent pay that proportion, and the top 5 percent pay a whopping 57 percent."

The Solyndra scandal cost at least a half-billion public dollars. It is plaguing President Barack Obama. And it's being billed as a Washington story.

But back in Obama's political hometown, those of us familiar with the Chicago Way can see something else in Solyndra — something that the Washington crowd calls "optics." In fact, it's not just a Washington saga — it has all the elements of a Chicago City Hall story, except with more zeros.

The FBI is investigating what happened with Solyndra, a solar panel company that got a $535 million government-backed loan with the help of the Obama White House over the objections of federal budget analysts.

Obama and Vice President Joe Biden got a nice photo op. They got to make speeches about being "green." But then Solyndra went bankrupt. Americans lost jobs. Taxpayers got stuck with the bill. And members of Congress are now in high dudgeon and making speeches.

Federal investigators want to know what role political fundraising played in the guarantee of the questionable loan. Washington bureaucrats warned the deal was lousy. And White House spokesmen flail desperately, like weakened victims in a cheesy vampire movie.

So forget optics. What about smell? It smells bad, and it's going to smell worse.

Or, did you really believe it when the White House mouthpieces — who are also Chicago City Hall mouthpieces — promised they were bringing a new kind of politics to Washington?

This is not a new kind of politics. It's the old kind. The Chicago kind.

And now the Tribune Washington Bureau has reported that the U.S. Department of Energy employee who helped monitor the Solyndra loan guarantee was one of Obama's top fundraisers.

Fundraising? Contracts? Imagine that.

Steve Spinner was the Obama administration official in charge of handing out billions and billions of tax dollars to "green" energy deals. According to the Tribune story, Spinner the other day invited Obama's national political finance committee to a meeting in Chicago.

The name of the Obama fundraising initiative?

"Technology for Obama."

The idea of the Obama fundraisers getting together, talking "green," and perhaps offering taxpayer loan guarantees to insider businesses in the interest of helping the environment — it all seems rather fresh.

Like a mountain meadow.

Until you realize it's the same old politics, the same kind practiced in Washington and Chicago and anywhere else where appetites are satisfied by politicians. When the government picks winners and losers, who's the loser? Just look in the mirror, hold that thought, and tell me later.

Republicans are hoping to hang this around Obama's political neck, and they're doing a good job of it now because his approval ratings are low and the jobless numbers are abysmal and the Democrats are in full killer-rabbit panic. But there have been Republican national scandals, too, and they're always ridiculously and depressingly similar.

At least in Illinois our scandals are quite ecumenical, with Republicans eager to help Democrats steal whatever they can grab.

In Solyndra, like any proper City Hall political scandal, there are similar archetypes.

There are the guys who count. The guys who bring the cash. They count because they do the counting. They have leverage. They're always there at the fundraisers. And so they're the ones who are allowed to gorge at the public trough.

The bureaucrats are the fulcrum so the guys with the leverage can lift great weight without too much effort. And while they might whine privately among themselves, they don't hold news conferences to blow the whistle.

They keep their mouths shut until the deal is done. If anyone gets caught and the problem becomes public, at least they've got email to cover their behinds. And they're doing a good job covering.

But there's one group that doesn't get their behinds covered.

Instead, their behinds are right out there, suspended foolishly, and waiting to get kicked.

We're the taxpayers — in Illinois we call ourselves chumbolones because we're the ones who stupidly end up covering all the losses. As in the Solyndra mess.

It's the Chicago Way, but instead of a paving or trucking contract, it's a "green" solar panel contract. The company received a $535 million loan.

"The optics of a Solyndra default will be bad," according to a Jan. 31 email from an Office of Management and Budget staffer printed in the Washington Post. "If Solyndra defaults down the road, the optics will arguably be worse later than they would be today. … In addition, the timing will likely coincide with the 2012 campaign season heating up."

I love the use of "optics." It's one of those bloodless words finding favor these days.

"Optics" suggests bureaucrats might think in terms of symbolism, political hieroglyphs, in grand vistas, rather than in hard numbers, like the $535,000,000 that went poof.

But it's not their money, is it? It's ours.

So this is not about Washington optics after all. The Solyndra scandal is about the Washington smell of things.

Those of us from Chicago know exactly what it smells like. And It doesn't smell fresh and green.

WE SHOULD PASS THE AMERICAN JOBS ACT WITHOUT DELAY!

We should pass the American Jobs Act immediately! WHAT'S THAT YOU SAY?

Here's why: Obama presented Congress with his bill on Monday evening. But apparently no Democrat wanted to file the name of Obama’s bill. Who can blame them? Even his own constituents don't want to be associated with this outrageously stupid piece of proposed legislation!

(In my opinion, the name of his bill SHOULD have been The Union Restoration Act, but he wanted something along the lines of The American Jobs Act.)

So since no Democrats bothered to file the name, a certain representative by the name of Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) created his own bill with that name. Instead of raising taxes like Obama, Gohmert’s bill would reduce the corporate income tax rate to 0% and repeal the alternative minimum tax. HOW GREAT IS THAT? But what can we make of the fact that THE STUPID OBAMACRATS (Democrats) didn’t even manage to file Obama’s bill in a timely manner?

These are the idiots that are running our country, folks!

Before you write that I've violated someone's rights, realize that all of
the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before
you say that this would be "demeaning" and ruin their "self esteem,"
consider that it wasn't that long ago that taking someone else's money
for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people's mistakes we should at least
attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system
rewards them for continuing to make mistakes and bad choices.

What did Presidents Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

Back during the great depression, Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

Harry Truman deported over two million illegal aliens after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

In 1954 Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexicans. The program was called Operation Wetback. It was done so WWII and Korean veterans would have a better chance at
jobs. It took two years, but they deported them!

Operation Wetback was a 1954 operation by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) to remove illegal immigrants, mostly Mexican nationals from the southwest US.

Now if they could deport the illegal aliens back then, they could sure do it today. If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

Why you might ask can't they do this today? Actually the answer is quite simple. Hoover , Truman, and Eisenhower were men of honor who loved their country, not untrustworthy politicians looking for votes!

For the time that I watched it seemed to me that pretty much every question asked of the candidates were based on some liberal Democrat premise or perspective. Well … I guess you would expect that.

But wait! There’s more!

Let’s look at the MSNBC analysis team following the speech. We had Chris Matthews and Rachael Maddow. Matthews has a lot of Capitol Hill experience. He’s a prog – but so what. I can see him on the MSNBC team. Maddow? Have never listened to her and know very little about her. She’s a vagitarian. Big deal. Oh .. and a prog as well. Again, this is MSNBC.

That brings to Ed Schultz and Al Sharpton.

Schultz? Are you kidding me? This man has not one ounce of integrity and has proven himself to be dishonest. In the past six months he has taken tapes of statements I made on the air and statements that Rick Perry made on the campaign trail – edited the recordings of those statements – and then presented them on the air as genuine; all to change the meaning of what was said by myself and by Perry in order to attack us. His editing of my statements came first and made no news whatsoever. When he pulled the same stunt on Perry he was caught. Now even his most loyal listeners know of his dishonesty and know that they really can’t trust the sound bites he plays on the air. And MSNBC chooses him as an analyst? I’m hearing Schultz was dismayed that he didn’t have the chance to do some creative editing on the statements made by the candidates before they began the analysis segment. Sucked to be him, I guess.

And Al Sharpton? The man is a proven liar. How have so many forgotton the Tawana Brawley episode? This was 24 years ago … but it’s still the same Al Sharpton. Tawana Brawley said that six men – all white and including some police officers – raped her. Sharpton quickly signed on as her “advisor” and became a media figure carrying her rape story forward. A grand jury later found that there was no evidence to back up Brawley’s accusations .. and that she most likely made it appear that she had been attacked and abused by smearing feces on herself, tearing her own clothes, and writing racial obscenities on her body with charcoal. The theory is that she did this to create an excuse for her four-day absence from her family at the age of 14. Some witnesses testified that Brawley had been beaten by her mother after previous runaway incidents where she spent time with various boys. Sharpton was successfully sued (as was Brawley) by one of the men falsely accused of the rape. Sharpton supporters stepped forward to pay the judgment against him. So there’s your race pimp Al Sharpton .. and he’s analyzing last night’s GOP debate on MSNBC? A dishonest lying race pimp like this? What the hell?

THE AMERICAN JOBS ACT: JUST MORE CAMPAIGN RHETORIC FROM THE LIAR-IN-CHIEF

Our Buffoon-in-Chief wants his American Jobs Act passed “right away.” He told us that at least eight times. We need to pass this plan and we need to do it right now - by God. How many times do our Republican leaders fall for this LIAR'S bullcrap?

Why the urgency? Because when Congress fails to pass it right away, Obama can throw up his hands and say, “Hey, I told them we needed to pass it right away. Congress didn’t! The Republicans blocked it! Republican obstructionism and partisanship is destroying our economy.    It’s not my fault. Our economy would have recovered by now if they had only listened to me.” And then you will hear that line from now until November 2012.

So here's basically what we were told in Obama’s speech:

   Spend about a half-trillion dollars we don’t have.
   Insure that as much of the new spending is spent by the government sector as possible. Governments spending on roads, bridges and schools. Keep as much of the spending out of the private sector as we can. (wasn't this what we were told the Stimulus money was for?)
    Make sure that to the greatest extent possible the beneficiaries of the spending are union workers --- teachers, construction workers and the like.
    Tell the dumb masses once again that the evil rich and the nasty corporations are not paying “their fair share” of taxes.
    Get the phrase “millionaires and billionaires” in there at least once to generate a little more class envy.
    Call for the increased spending, but pass the buck on how to come up with the money to the super committee of 12 Senators and Congressmen, that way the Buffoon-in-Chief doesn’t have to take the heat for the tax increase proposals or spending cuts in next year’s election.

But don't we get three days ( not including weekends and holidays) to read the freak'n bill? I guess we'll need to sign it to find out whats in it. That's how these clowns operate!

I expect it will be pretty much the same as the last stimulus wealth transfers, intended merely to take taxpayer money and give it to unions and Obama supporters. Has all of the money from the previous stimuli been accounted for? What about the millions given to people in area codes and congressional districts which do not exist? What about the billions given to government employees who merely divided it up among themselves and called it a bonus? Why should we have any expectation that THIS money will be handled with any more responsibility? I would like to see a full, independent audit of ALL money spent in the first stimulus packages before any more money is given out!

Considering how bad Obama's policies worked in the past couple years, I was really expecting this speech to have lots of either sound economic policies or proposals for major debt reduction. But nooo! What he gave us was more of the same socialist policies he's been imposing since day 1 that all but the most stubborn Obama voter admits was a horrendous failure. Pending Legislation in California: “The Law to Eliminate Employment of Babysitters in the State”

"How will California parents react when they find out they will be expected to provide workers' compensation benefits, rest and meal breaks, and paid vacation time for…babysitters? Dinner and a movie night may soon become much more complicated.

California Assembly Bill 889 will require these protections for all “domestic employees,” including nannies, housekeepers and caregivers. The bill has already passed the Assembly and is quickly moving through the Senate with blanket support from the Democrat members that control both houses of the Legislature – and without the support of a single Republican member. Assuming the bill will easily clear its last couple of legislative hurdles, AB 889 will soon be on its way to the Governor's desk.

Under AB 889, household “employers” (aka “parents”) who hire a babysitter on a Friday night will be legally obligated to pay at least minimum wage to any sitter over the age of 18 (unless it is a family member), provide a substitute caregiver every two hours to cover rest and meal breaks, in addition to workers' compensation coverage, overtime pay, and a meticulously calculated timecard/paycheck.

Failure to abide by any of these provisions may result in a legal cause of action against the employer ("parents") including cumulative penalties, attorneys' fees, legal costs and expenses associated with hiring expert witnesses, an unprecedented measure of legal recourse provided no other class of workers – from agricultural laborers to garment manufacturers."

MP: Just one more example of excessive regulation and high labor costs in the "unionocracy of California," giving businesses one more reason to leave the state in record numbers.

Beetlemania: Feds Give 4 States $5.8 Million to Protect Insect Habitat

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Department of Interior announced this week that it is giving four states $5,802,180 in grants for projects that are designed in whole or in part to protect various types of threatened or endangered beetles.

The largest of these grants is a $2,426,055 award to the state of Maryland to help protect the habitat of the Puritan tiger beetle, a threatened insect that inhabits beaches and bluffs along Chesapeake Bay in Maryland as well as along the Connecticut River in New England.

The $5.8 million in grants that will help four states protect beetles are part of a group of 48 grants totaling $53.3 million that the Interior Department said on Wednesday will go to 17 states to develop conservation plans or purchase or preserve land determined to be habitat for species that have been listed as threatened or endangered under the federal Endangered Species Act.

EXAMPLE NO.2    OUTRAGEOUS UNION PRACTICES

In fiscal 2009, the Postal Service logged over 1.2 million hours in standby time. The U.S. Postal Service, which expects to lose $7 billion this year, spent $4.3 million on employees who did nothing in the first half of the year because of requirements in union agreements, an audit found. The amount paid for so-called standby time has “significantly decreased,” down tens of millions of dollars from the amount spent just a couple of years ago, says The Washington Post, which obtained a copy of an audit.

Labor agreements mandate that postal employees have a certain amount of guaranteed work hours, which means that they cannot be laid off during periods of low mail volume or unplanned events like the breakdown of equipment. This leads to “standby time,” in which employees spend the day doing nothing — for example, waiting in a cafeteria or breakroom.

In fiscal 2009, the Postal Service logged over 1.2 million hours in standby time, costing the agency more than $30 million. This declined to around $20 million in 2010 and is on track to be less than $10 million this year. The report explains the decrease in standby time by saying that the employee workforce has been reduced in size over the past two years to more appropriately align with expected workload. However, auditors found a significant amount of Postal Service officials who did not always record standby time properly, which led to improper overtime charges.

Despite a decline in the number of hours that workers are paid to do nothing, the U.S. Postal Service remains in deep financial trouble. In the recently concluded third quarter of fiscal 2011, the agency lost $3.1 billion. “The growth in electronic communications continues to erode core first-class mail volume,” the Postal Service said in a recent release.

Rick Perry is a fifth generation Texan, the son of hardscrabble west Texas tenant farmers – Democrats but conservatives through and through. He grew up in a farm town too small to be on the state map. Life was so hard that he was six years old before his house had indoor plumbing. His mother sewed his clothes, including the underwear he wore to college.

He is an Eagle Scout. After Paint Creek High School , he attended Texas A&M, graduated, and was commissioned into the Air Force where he became a C-130 pilot.

Now 61 years old, he has won nine elections to four different offices in Texas state government. In the first three elections he ran as a Democrat then switched to the Republican Party. He is currently the 47th governor of Texas – a position he has held for 11 years, the longest tenure of any governor in the nation.

He has never lost an election.

Rick Perry was the Lieutenant Governor to whom Governor George Bush handed over the office after winning the 2000 Presidential election. Since then, Perry won gubernatorial elections in 2002, 2004, and 2010, the last time by 55% against a field consisting of a Democrat, a Libertarian, a Green Party, and an Independent.

Since he became its Governor, Texas – a right to work state that taxes neither personal income nor capital gains – has added more jobs than the other 49 states combined. In the last two years, low taxes and little regulation led his state to create 47% of all jobs created in the entire nation. Five of the top ten cities with the highest job growth in the nation are in Texas . People follow jobs, so in the last four years for which data are available, Texas led every state in net interstate migration growth.

Perry signed ground-breaking “loser pays” tort reform and medical litigation rules that caused malpractice insurance rates to fall. Some 20,000 doctors have since moved to Texas ..

Texas boasts 58 of the Fortune 500 companies – more than any other state. Since May 2011 Texas resumed its pre-recession employment levels. Only two other states and the District of Columbia have done that.

Texas ships 16% of the nation’s export value. California trails at 11%. Of the 70 companies that have fled California so far in 2011, 14 relocated in Texas ..

In this year’s Texas legislative season, Perry got most of what he wanted. With no new taxes, a fiscally lean state budget was passed leaving $6 billion in a rainy day fund even as other states around the country struggled to balance budgets and avoid more deficit borrowing. A voter ID bill passed that was designed to prevent ballot box fraud and illegal voting. A bill passed that makes plaintiffs pay court costs and attorney fees if their suits are deemed frivolous.

Perry scored points even in his legislative failures. He failed to get sanctuary cities banned – Texas towns in which police cannot question detainees about their immigration status. The blame fell on the legislature. Perry also failed to get a so-called “anti-groping” bill passed that would put Transportation Security Administration agents in prison if they touch the genitals, anus, or breasts of passengers in a pat down. Federal officials threatened to halt all flights out of Texas airports and the bill died in special session. That endeared Texans even more to TSA employees living in Texas ..

Perry jogs daily in the morning. He has no bodyguard with him, but his daughter’s dog runs by his side and he carries a laser-guided automatic pistol in his belt. Last year while jogging in an undeveloped area, a coyote paralleled his jogging route, eyeing his dog. He drew his pistol and killed the animal with one shot, leaving it where it fell. “He became mulch," Perry said. Animal rights groups protested, but Perry shrugged it off. “Don’t come after my dog,” he warned them.

Recently, Obama asked Perry to delay the July 7 execution of Humberto Leal in order to comply with the International Court of Justice in The Hague and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Perry refused. Therefore Obama asked the US Supreme Court to delay the execution because it would damage US foreign relations. The Court refused 5-4 and Perry ordered the execution to go forward as scheduled. Over the howls of diplomats, politicians, and the UN, Leal was administered a lethal injection at 6:20 p.m. Before he died, he admitted his guilt and asked for forgiveness.

The case has special implications for Perry, who is considering a run for the presidency in 2012. Even his critics resent federal interference in a Texas execution, which is related to a state, not a federal, crime – an alcohol and drug-fueled rape and murder 17 years ago by an illegal whose family brought him into the country 35 years ago as a child. The interference hinges not on the man’s guilt, which Leal’s advocates acknowledged, but on a technicality – failure to inform Leal that he could have gotten legal representation from the Mexican consulate in lieu of the court-appointed attorneys who represented him. Independent Texans saw Obama’s interference as another intrusion of federal power into the affairs of a state, which could cost Obama support in other states.

Needless to say, Perry is a hard-edged conservative and a ferocious defender of 10th Amendments rights (“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”) – an explicit restriction of the federal government to only those powers granted in the Constitution. Perry accuses the federal government, especially the Obama administration, of illegal overreach.

Perry said “no thanks” to the feds whose stimulus offered taxpayer dollars for education and unemployment assistance. The strings on “free money” from Washington , he said, would restrict Texas in managing its own affairs. Perry even depleted all state funds to fight recent wildfires before asking Washington for disaster relief. His request has been ignored, which comes across as an unvarnished federal power play, further pitting Perry and Texans against the federal government.

Obama to streamline regulations .. yeah, right!

Here’s what Barack Obama’s administration is really good at: Making it sound like he is all for something, but not actually doing anything about it. Government regulations is a case-in-point … yesterday his administration announced plans to streamline hundreds of hideous government regulations. This “review” is said to “likely” save $10 billion over five years. That’s great. I truly hope that Obama is serious about this and it is carried out in full. But why should I believe him?

What happened to the executive order Obama issued earlier this year? Oh you don’t remember that, do you? At the beginning of the year, Obama issued an executive order stating that all rules “must promote predictability and reduce uncertainty” and “must identify and use the best, most innovative, and least burdensome tools for achieving regulatory ends.”

Since issuing that executive order, the administration has repealed a whopping one rule. You may remember that asinine rule .. it was the rule where a spilled milk emergency was treated the same, under the eyes of government, as an oil spill and dairy farmers were required to have emergency plans in case of a spill.

Seriously!

So Obama issues this executive order, and the administration repeals one stinking rule. In the meantime, since the beginning of this year, the administration has proposed 340 new regulations that are estimated to cost us $65 billion .. and this is the just the cost they could estimate based on the rules that actually underwent an economic analysis. That figure is definitely higher. So let’s get this straight .. Obama’s new plan is said to save $10 billion over the next five years, so $2 billion a year. Meanwhile, in this year alone he has proposed $65 billion in new rules. And we are supposed to be hailing this as a great victory? I’m not surprised though. This is the same administration that has increase spending by 25% and then claims that we can’t afford spending cuts.

If Obama was seriously about stimulating our economy, he would do something drastic about government regulations. Repealing ObamaCare would be a wonderful start. Imagine if Americans suddenly had $2.8 trillion more money in their pockets to spend and invest .. imagine what that could do for our economy! Why $2.8 trillion? That is the amount of money that government regulations are projected to cost U.S. taxpayers each year. That is money spent complying with government rules and regulations. This means that the average worker worked 77 days this year just to pay the price of complying with government regulations.

By the way .. who manages to weasel themselves out from under the thumb of government regulations? Union bosses. Seriously! Just take a look at how the Obama administration wants to increase regulations, but not on unions.

GE AND CHINA: MORE OBAMA LEADERSHIP FAILURE

Today's New York Times reports that as China strives for leadership in the world’s most advanced industries, it sees commercial jetliners — planes that may someday challenge the best from Boeing and Airbus — as a top prize. And no Western company has been more aggressive in helping China pursue that dream than one of the aviation industry’s biggest suppliers of jet engines and airplane technology, G.E.

On Friday, during the visit of the Chinese president, Hu Jintao, to the United States, G.E. plans to sign a joint-venture agreement in commercial aviation that shows the tricky risk-and-reward calculations American corporations must increasingly make in their pursuit of lucrative markets in China.
G.E., in the partnership with a state-owned Chinese company, will be sharing its most sophisticated airplane electronics, including some of the same technology used in Boeing’s new state-of-the-art 787 Dreamliner.

For G.E., the pact is a chance to build upon an already well-established business in China, where the company has booming sales of jet engines, mainly to Chinese airlines that are now buying Boeing and Airbus planes. But doing business in China often requires Western multinationals like G.E. to share technology and trade secrets that might eventually enable Chinese companies to beat them at their own game — by making the same products cheaper, if not better.

The other risk is that Western technologies could help China play catch-up in military aviation — a concern underscored last week when the Chinese military demonstrated a prototype of its version of the Pentagon’s stealth fighter, even though the plane could be a decade away from production.
The first customer for the G.E. joint venture will be the Chinese company building a new airliner, the C919, that is meant to be China’s first entry in competition with Boeing and Airbus.

In addition, General Electric is planning to move its 115-year-old X-ray division from Waukesha, Wis., to Beijing. In addition to moving the headquarters, the company will invest $2 billion in China and train more than 65 engineers and create six research centers. This is the same GE that made $5.1 billion in the United States last year. but paid no taxes-the same company that employs more people overseas than it does in the united States.

So let me get this straight. President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt to head his commission on job creation (job czar). Immelt is supposed to help create jobs. I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs.

If this doesn't show you the total lack of leadership of this President, I don't know what does.

There are around 13 million more people on food stamps today than there were in January of 2009. Sure, almost anybody can find statistics to suit their own argument, but all finger pointing to cast blame aside, if Carney actually believes it’s “uncontestably true” that the economy has “vastly improved” since January of 2009, he needs an uncontested psych evaluation.

It is no wonder that a compromise cannot be reached over the current debt negotiations. The Democrats are so fiscally irresponsible that Congressional Republicans are refusing to let them get away with it anymore.

The Congressional Budget Act requires the federal government to operate under a duly enacted budget, and sets out an annual timetable for the Congressional budget process. The Democrats have simply been ignoring the law because they think it is in their political interest to do so. They don’t want voters to see, in black and white, their plan to raise taxes while simultaneously expanding the national debt, with no end in sight. Currently, the Democrats are bringing to the Senate floor a series of appropriations bills for FY 2012, which begins in October. This is plainly illegal under the Congressional Budget Act, Section 303(c)(1) of which provides:

(c) APPLICATION TO APPROPRIATION MEASURES IN THE SENATE.—
(1) IN GENERAL.—Until the concurrent resolution on the budget for a fiscal year has been agreed to and an allocation has been made to the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate under section 302(a) for that year, it shall not be in order in the Senate to consider any appropriation bill or joint resolution, amendment or motion thereto, or conference report thereon for that year or any subsequent year.

The Democrats intend to circumvent Section 303(c)(1) by asking for the Senate’s unanimous consent to waive that provision. I hope Senate Republicans will be smart enough to oppose it.

The Democrats are a party of scofflaws. Not just conservatives, but all Americans should write their Senators in an effort to require the people’s business to be conducted legally, in public and with transparency...NOT THE WAY OBAMA HAS BEEN DOING IT SINCE HE GOT ELECTED!

Three days after the U.S. Department of Labor reported that the national unemployment rate had ticked up from 9.1 percent in May to 9.2 percent in June, Dumbo Ears said that the loss of jobs in the public sector is “evidence” that his $830-billion economic stimulus legislation worked.

“Now, without relitigating the past, I’m absolutely convinced, and the vast majority of economists are convinced, that the steps we took in the Recovery Act saved millions of people their jobs or created a whole bunch of jobs,” Obama said at his Monday press conference.

Neal Boortz, one of my favorite talk show political analysts, puts it this way:

We have the worst unemployment picture since the Great Depression because Obama’s stimulus worked!

Over two million fewer people are working in private sector jobs in our economy because Obama’s stimulus worked!

We are still seeing record levels of foreclosures because the stimulus worked!

The only thing that Barack Obama’s stimulus plan is evidence of is that government spending does not foster a climate of economic prosperity, particularly in the private market. The economy does not thrive when the government is making the economic choices.

But it was never Obama’s goal to bolster the private marketplace, but rather to keep union government workers and Democrat office holders afloat. So look around, America … this, what we are experiencing right now, is proof that Barack Obama’s stimulus plan worked!

Jeffrey Anderson at the Weekly Standard pointed out, the White House releasing a fiscal report on the Friday before a long holiday weekend can only mean one thing: There’s not much good news in it for the White House, and, ergo, taxpayers. Such is the case with the White House Council of Economic Advisors’ seventh quarterly report on the impact of the “stimulus”:

The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.
In other words, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to everyone whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead.

Mind you these are Obama’s own economists, so the report is like an employee’s performance evaluation that was filled out by the employee. The absolute truth is probably much more bleak.
Over ten years, the CBO says the stimulus will raise the federal deficit $830 billion — $43 billion more than originally estimated.
Which brings us to President Obama’s weekly address:

Now, it would be nice if we could keep every tax break, but we can’t afford them. Because if we choose to keep those tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires, or for hedge fund managers and corporate jet owners, or for oil and gas companies pulling in huge profits without our help — then we’ll have to make even deeper cuts somewhere else. We’ve got to say to a student, ‘You don’t get a college scholarship.’ We have to say to a medical researcher, ‘You can’t do that cancer research.’ We might have to tell seniors, ‘You have to pay more for Medicare.’

Or how about we say to the White House, “You don’t get to spend the remaining $164 billion earmarked for a ‘stimulus’ that is clearly a failure.”

To steal a line from a military recruiting campaign years ago, “it’s a great place to start” — but unfortunately the painfully obvious options never seem to be on the table.

It was the free enterprise system that created a standard of living unsurpassed by any other economic system anywhere in the world in the history of civilized man, and then the people of this country put a man dedicated to the destruction of capitalism and free enterprise in the White House.

As late as the 1980s, this man, Barack Obama, was a dedicated Marxist revolutionary. Then his zeal was tempered somewhat because he finally figured out that there wasn’t going to be a Communist revolution in the United States. His father was a Communist. His mother was a Communist, and when his father disappeared from his life, his mother took on a lover who was a Communist. He hung out with Communists in college. He gravitated toward Communist professors in college. And now he is president of the United States?

This is a man who, when he decided that he was going to finally enter the political realm, decided that he would make that announcement in the home of two dedicated Communist revolutionaries: Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers. Everything about this man -- from his childhood, through college and his entry into politics -- everything about him is infused in Marxism and anti-capitalism and a hatred for the private sector and free enterprise and a love of government. And he becomes president of the United States. And now people think the American dream is over … that our free market economy is in permanent decline and will never get better. Surprised? Not me.

Few people can visit this remote national park unless they hire a seaplane or take a four-hour round-trip boat ride. --Creating a museum in an abandoned train station in Glasboro, NJ, at the cost of $1.2 million.--$2 million dollars to send researchers from the California Academy of Sciences to islands in the Indian Ocean to study exotic ants.--A study of dog domestication at Cornell University with a price tag of $296-thousand dollars.--$141-thousand dollars to send students from Montana State University to China to study dinosaur eggs.--$762-thousand dollars to create interactive choreography programs at the University of North Carolina. Dancers would wear electronic monitors to analyze their movements. --$89-thousand dollars to replace sidewalks in Boynton, Oklahoma that were just replaced five years ago. One of them goes nowhere near any houses or businesses and leads directly into a ditch. Coburn and McCain claim these and other projects are misconceived and mismanaged, while creating few, if any, new jobs.

When CBS reporter Bob Schieffer asked Nancy Pelosi some tough questions on her Congress’s record on the economy. How did she react? Let’s just say you could stamp ‘HYPOCRITE’ on her forehead after this.

Schieffer asked: “We’re talking in kind of a different way, when unemployment went to 5% under George Bush. What you said then, that Americans are struggling with skyrocketing energy prices, gas was only $3 a gallon then, and you say this morning this is January 4th, 2008, this morning’s job report confirms what most Americans already knew. President Bush’s economic policies have failed our country’s middle class. I mean, aren’t Republicans entitled to say, you know, if gas was $3 and unemployment was 5% and the President has failed the American people, don’t they have a right to say that this President has failed the American people?”

Her response?

“Well, if you want to go into the past, we can talk about the past all you want,” she said before adding that Americans are looking to the future.

Unfortunately, this comes from a woman and an administration that has defined their entire time in office by the actions and ‘failures’ of the Bush administration – refusing to take responsibility for any economic turmoil.

Franklin Raines got over $90 Million in Bonuses for cooking the books at FNMA and contributing to the total dessimation of the U.S. Housing Market. Now we can see how he did it without payback from government officials.

As an executive at Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines illegally coerced his employees to falsify accounting facts so he’d get a maximum bonus. The government-backed firm used Enron-like fraud, in part at Raines’s orders, to create the largest bail-out in US history. Raines had the whistleblower fired. From the Heritage Foundation:

In 2004, after a tip from a whistle blower who was later fired, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (Ofheo) issued a report finding that the government-sponsored entity Fannie Mae had engaged in Enron-like accounting machinations that allowed Fannie to overstate its earnings and underestimate the risk the company faced. (CNSNews.com) – The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says the real cost of the federal government guaranteeing the business of failed mortgage giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac is $317 billion -- not the $130 billion normally claimed by the Obama administration.
In a report delivered to the House Budget Committee on June 2, the CBO said a “fair value” accounting of guaranteeing the two defunct mortgage companies – known as Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs) – was more than twice as high as the Office of Management and Budget had accounted for.

LaHood, accompanied by some DOT staffers, rode his bicycle from the Washington Monument to DOT headquarters, a distance of a little over two miles.

“The route was safe and well-marked; we enjoyed some exercise; and we didn't burn a drop of gas--which saved us some money,” LaHood wrote on his DOT “Fastlane” blog.

Obama's Birth Certificate Scam...You Won't Believe This!

This is rather long and tedious...each part is about 7 minutes long (4 parts)...and raises some valid points about the authenticity of BO's birth certificate (especially why it was "layered" so many times in Photoshop before it was finally produced, and why parts of the signatures were "painted in)." I was about to forget about this issue until I saw this, but now I believe this matter is far from being finalized. This may be one of the greatest hoaxes of all time. This may be why the birth cert. was delayed so long before it was "produced"; it is very hard to argue against. How many Photoshop experts worked on this for Obama?

So if you're deeply interested in forensic evidence, and the BO birth certificate matter, set aside a half-hour of quiet time, grab a cup of coffee, and watch these vids. Then decide for yourself. Can an entire country be scammed?

Michelle Obama is heading to Africa on an official visit later this month, stopping in South Africa and Botswana where she'll continue her efforts to encourage young people to get involved in their societies.

The first lady also will visit Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa and Gaborone, Botswana during the June 21-26 trip.

The official said Mrs. Obama's visit will highlight the important stake the U.S. has in the success of Africa's many nations, as well as the historic connections between the American people and those who live on the African continent. President Barack Obama's late father was Kenyan.

Sounds like just another taxpayer funded vacation to me. No wonder they want to increase the National Debt Limit again. WTF!

Thousands of guns have been sold to Mexican drug cartels under orders from the Obama Justice Department. Now that Americans have been killed by the department's failed operation, the White House is blaming law-abiding gun shops for its deadly scandal. But was that the administration's plan all along?

Obama is calling for "commonsense" gun reforms, but as a man with a long a history of acting to limit Second Amendment rights and advocating gun control who tapped an attorney general with the same ideology -- and possibly the biggest gun trafficking scandal in U.S. history with his name written all over it -- is the president really calling for reforms or more government control?

In the past, President Obama hasn't been shy about expressing his views against the right to own a handgun and the right to carry concealed and his support for the reinstatement of the assault-weapons ban -- more accurately understood as a ban on semiautomatic firearms. He believes the nation's crime problems lie with gun ownership rather than criminals.
In fact, as an Illinois state senator, Obama endorsed and spoke in support of an outright ban on ownership of all handguns and favored the licensing and registering of gun owners. Before his run for public office in 1996, Obama filled out a questionnaire expressing his support for a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns.

Considering our uber-liberal president's true beliefs on guns -- and the anti-Second Amendment stance of the leftist base of his party -- it shouldn't surprise anyone to read about the most recent scandal exposed in the June issue of Townhall Magazine involving the Justice Department, guns, and law-abiding citizens.

It is well worth reading the entire article if are concerned about protecting your 2nd Amendment rights.
